Well looks like you finally got there. , good save.For the kind of hollowing you are doing , which is similar to boxes, you might try a spindle gouge and use it like a scraper.

    Looks good Fred.  Cracks can be filled with super glue.  Thin works best for me.  Here is the different jaws.

    Thanks Dan. Mine all all of the top design...which I think they refer to as "profiled" jaws. I may pick up a set or 2 of the DT jaws.
