June 5, 20215 yr Popular Post Nice work on the ceiling Lew it looks great. 23 hours ago, Larry Buskirk said: Hey, what happened to May? I was wondering that myself. Still plugging away on the kitchen project. Insulation showed up Thursday, only 11 days late & it wasn't due to lack of supply. Two guys traveled the 6 miles to my house and show up with a flatbed & a forklift & one pallet of 20 rolls and ask if they can just drop it at the curb. With the fire in my eyes from them being late I asked him, if it were a refrigerator where would he leave it, he got my point. Graduation party today and I'm looking forward to a Sunday morning hangover, its been a while.

I have been out of pocket for a week or so and missed it, and couldn't find it using the search. I don't see any screws in the pic The ones at Lowes had either a sharp point and a self drilling point. I accidently got a box of each. They both worked well but I liked the self drilling.

June 5, 20215 yr Popular Post We are back on the boat this weekend getting things done and enjoying the grandkids. Weather here is always overcast in the morning with the marine layer which burns off usually by 1000 or so. I’m taking the kids to the Aquarium this afternoon. There is an Aqualink dock about 100 yds from our boat which will take us over to the aquarium by boat. Paul
June 5, 20215 yr Today at some point when I know its safe to run the electric chainsaw when neighbors are awake I plan on taking out a laurel bush. That should be a bit of fun.

June 6, 20215 yr Popular Post Built and installed the lumber rack wall yesterday. I drilled a series of 3/4" holes at 5 °, a foot apart in the edges of each stud to receive 21" long 3/4" OD EMT. Now, I can finally get all my lumber stored thats been under tarp out side since we moved here. Next steps...build and install another 40+ feet of walls. Then comes wiring. Slowly but surely, we're getting there. (Emphasis on 'slowly')
June 6, 20215 yr Popular Post Not woodworking, but got the MG wire wheels back from the bead blaster. Several coats of self etching primer, silver wheel paint, and clear coat. Ready for new tires, tubes, and the road! And our 50th wedding anniversary too! Before- During After

June 7, 20215 yr Popular Post Gene make sure that SLOWLY keeps in step with your get up and go.. Oh I must add today is our 50 plus 1. Didn't get a party last year and did not even eat out today as the thunderstorms were scaring the dog. By the way she picked D-Day , but makes it easy to remember and how many thousands celebrate the day. Hope you took the time to watch at least one war documentary or movie. I watched Tarawa and episode 1 of Tanks.

I watched Tarawa and episode 1 of Tanks. We went out for dinner and it was a disappointment! My wife makes excellent meals and only something unusual is a treat. Watched battle of the bulge and midway. Sorry that longest day wasn’t on.

Actual film shot during the battle along with interviews with some of the men who were there and what they did.
