Gotta drive in to Tucson today and pick up a scaffold to use to install insulation on the shop ceiling tomorrow and, maybe Sunday. Our sons will be doing that job for us. Then, it's time to start building out the stud walls. FINALLY it's sawdust time. And, that's something that doesn't require ladders!! I love my HF Little Giant wanna be ladders but, it's about time to put them away until we start hanging the LEDs. That'll be after the wiring, of course. 

Urn pieces got final coat of GF Arm R Seal.  Have a drawer project also in the pipeline for finish work.  Rack is very adaptable.

 

 

Still trying to catch up on Spring yard/garden stuff. 2 days of nice weather to do some of it.

Still waiting for the cherry bowl blank to stop shedding moisture. Might try to chain saw a couple of small blanks from the woodpile. Got most of the garden planted yesterday. I suspect Mimi will want the pool set up soon.

Going to pick up some bee hives for the club and self.  Then get them painted.   This afternoon is scheduled to get risers on the septic tanks (oh, what fun!)

Going to be nice weather.  Good time to go outside and putz around in the yard.

Don't envy you, Keith. BTDT...Nasty job. 

Spent some time sharpening lathe tools on the Tormek.  As I was putting away a razor sharp freshly honed gouge, I fumbled it and then made the mistake of trying to catch it.  Missing 3/16" line of flesh along a 2" long cut on my right index finger.  OUCH.  It's pretty tender, not sure how much weekend workshop warrior stuff I'm going to be doing.

Was in line at local gas station. Woman behind me taps me on shoulder and politely asks me to step to the right. Sure. She then calls out the guy in front of me for grabbed her butt while in store. Mr Moron laughs and asks what are you going to do about it?

 

The look on his face was priceless as she drove her right foot into his manhood. Heck I had to swallow a little bit in sympathy. From the ground he asks for help.

 

So I inquired, ” what you want me to rub them for you?”

 

Woman bought my chips and coke.

Received a package from a fellow woodworker on another site that reached out and offered to make my Father's Flag Case.  

 

My Mother was greatly touched, the beauty, the sentiment and time and effort on this project comforted her.  

 

 

Had a hands on today on pyrography and tomorrow will be turning club meeting with demo on pyrography.

Mom had not been well most of last year, finally God called her home to glory.  had a good visit with Dad this past week.  us kids organized and put on the service, with Scripture readings and remembrances, and at the end, we used one of mom's garden trowels to place some dirt into the hole.

 

the box is cherry that my dad and my grand dad fell and milled some 70+ years ago, and that my dad has had with him all that time (was once a small bookcase).  he and I made two matching boxes in my shop several years ago, his is still in the house.  it came off the family tree farm up in Michigan.

 

not a fancy box, but dad liked the design, so that's what we did.

 

i opened my remarks with:
