John, I hope all is well at home now.  Of course, that took priority.  Family always comes first.  I had no doubt you would be along sometime.  That band saw is a beast.  I haven't had the opportunity to use it on a project yet, but I know it will do whatever reasonable job I put to it.  Laguna Customer support, well, that is a topic for another day.  

My cousin has a Laguna just like yours Tom, and he loves it. It is a beast, all the castings he stated are good and heavy, and the machine is precise. Hey Tom, now you need to look at the Laguna Resaw Fence! Later, but if you want to resaw, it's a great addition. Cheers, and so glad you are happy with it!

is it 240V or 110V for the power supply?  I've been considering saving up to get one of these.

It's 110.  I'm not sure if it can be rewired for 240.  I can check the manual for you and get back tomorrow if you want.

Actually, I just pulled this off their web site:  Dual Voltage Motor: 115/230, Pre-Wired 115 Volt

Are you talking about the Driftmaster fence?  If so, according to the Laguna web site, it is no longer available.  The stock fence can be used in a high or low configuration, so I imagine that will be sufficient.

Yep that's convincing I'm definitely saving up to get one of these saws.

I was talking about the DriftMaster, so it's no longer in stock, hmmm. Perhaps they found that the factory fence that comes with the bandsaw is more than capable, as you said it can be used in a hi low config. Thanks for the update Tom.
