Right now it is cold, damp and the wind is blowing.  I won't be doing too much outside:Tapping:

On the bright side, next week looks to be in the 60's all week:TwoThumbsUp: Hoo-ray!

I will spend this weekend doing a bit more cleanout of the garage where the cars are parked.  One of this years projects is to clean it out and repaint.  Man, there is a bunch of stuff in there to clean out!

Hanging rope lights on the patio. One of these days, that ladder will be put away for a well deserved rest. Probably, soon. A Little giant is on the wish list. Really gonna need it when we start hanging insulation in the shop.

Making some doll cradles for the club's Christmas charity project.  Got most of the parts cut yesterday and need to sand and assemble today.

I'd like to put a little bevel on the bottom edge of the sides, but the top is not even any more.   I might have to rig up some sort of fence extension to do that.   Or run a tilt on the jointer.  Not decided yet.

Looks like a bunch of rewrites on those NOCTI credentials and more pictures.

Lady is supposed to drop off her new laptop- for the one she ruined by blocking the fan vents. Now I have to try and recover all of her files from the dead one and transfer to the new one.

Phone just rang, someone wants a frame made for a stained glass piece.

Not feelin too active this AM after scraping ice partly off the drive yesterday under the Live Oak. We are finally into the thaw and it is up to 35. Wow what a heat wave. Will continue work on top for Coffee Bar and maybe get in some lathe time for the first time since before Christmas.

Well, Marie had a Dr. appointment today, and so i was thinking i wouldn't be in the shop at all. But the appt. went quick and we got home in time for me to walk out there. Had to cut some legs for an upcoming project to length, and when I powered the DC on it blew the start cap.:BangingHead: I really don't want to go without the DC so i guess I'm down until I can find a new one. Besides the shop kind of sinks at the moment so I need to let the smell dissipate.

Customer broke the shifter cable.  We are waiting on part.  He says I need to go in 5 minutes. Put it back together.

Very true, always some drama or insanity going on. Or maybe I notice it more and makes jokes about it.  Who knows.  Some days I wonder if the mental asylum staff just gave up and left the doors open. :throbbinghead:

When I taught electronics, the section on capacitors included electrolytic polarity and why it was important. The demonstration was to connect them to a switched voltage source. Set up plexiglass containment. Turn off the lights. Apply power. Cheer at the explosion! Repeat with several more capacitors. Open the windows to let the smoke and odor out.

My weekend agenda??  I get my final Covid shot tomorrow at Coors stadium, downtown Denver. 2 weeks after that (probably sooner) we will return to a near normal life. We haven't been out of the house much for a year (Medical appts) and then we were very careful. We have missed our family greatly. Now they are under quarantine due to kids exposure at school. So it looks like everything will fall into place in two weeks. We do go to a large lake about 8 miles away (weather permitting) and walk the trails. It sure is a covid relief day when that happens.

@Ron AltierDid they give any other information, like continuing to wear masks?  I keep wondering - if you are vaccinated, can you still transmit the virus even though you're unlikely to get it?  Thank you.

Still here Gunny!!!! Just working in the background, 😊

If you believe all the different opinions that is out there, you'd be more confused than ever. The most solid info is that we will be about 95% immune and that it is still possible for us to transmit covid, even tho we are not infected with it. Masks are required by the state in public places anyway. The masks are not fun, but if it helps stop this horrible thing, we are going to wear them.

Had a COVID test this morning as a prep to a biopsy Tuesday.    Gee, it took 45 minutes to get in, register, and wait for the nurse to swab my nose for 10 seconds.  Hopefully no one else waiting in line there was contagious.

Gunny, I can't tell from the photo, but isn't that what Vise-Grips are for -- auxiliary shift lever?   Will also double as a window crank.
