It's easy for me to remember Pearl Harbor day, it's also our oldest son's birthday (53 today)! Anyway, I've been putzing with tissue box covers for a few weeks and now get to move on to something else. Marie found an old print she has that's been laying around for years so I'll try to make a frame for it and get it mounted.

...Since it's not the weekend I might get brave enough to make a Menards run.

Need to get a little bit of lumber to build a cabinet/bench for my horizontal drill press/vertical lathe project.

Probably won't spend a dime, have a couple rebate coupons that should be more than enough to cover costs.

Pearl Harbor Day!  Next year will be the 80th!  Not many left.

 

Scored some S2S 1/2" cherry at my local mill.  Going to try my first small box.  Got the finger joints done and they look pretty good for the first try.

Still have to rip the sides for the desired height.  Still thinking about the top and bottom.  Pictures to follow.

 Still working on my workbench in between caring for the old folks. I'm at the point were I remove the table saw from its fixed location to its new home. Plan to break down the saw clean & lubricate where it's needed.

Got the burning done on plates with a caveat. My woodburner was cutting out a lot. Well was ready to pull the trigger on a new one but talked to friends first. Said to check connections and tighten screws. Screws were tight so tried to pull the cord which has a adapter on it. It took pliers to remove. The plastic in the pen melted to the adapter. Plugged it back in and it is so hot I turned it down to 2 from the 6 it was on and even that is still very hot. Happy, happy, happy. Ordered new patch cable. Thanks for the post @John Morris

First step...Not sure of the height yet.  L=9.75", W=6", H (currently) =7"  Not glued yet.

Had a Zoom Trial with ex this morning.  There is nothing like getting reamed for every decision good or bad you ever made, both ways.

Now that trial is over and we await a verdict in next 10 days I can let phone used as contact number just fade away.  Seems tracfone is dropping the older phone I use from their system.  To keep service I must spend $80 on a new phone and more minutes.  I am opting out.    After this throw down what could come out of any conversation?

Well, I didn't get this done over the weekend, but I did these on Monday.  I finished them on Tuesday.  

Otherwise, I spent part of 2 days this week at doctors and mowed part of the back yard on Wednesday.  Grandchildren will need guidance on Friday, and it is forecast to rain both days this weekend.  Ugh!  LOL
