First let me say sorry I have not updated this thread in some time.  Work and life has been super crazy.  I spent so much time on trying to get the impeller off and just could not do it.  So I put the

Welcome aboard @Dradam. Glad you found us even if under frustrating circumstances. Great to hear the conversion and upgrade is performing. We love pictures here so feel free to post up. Looking forward to seeing and hearing more about your projects, interests and just hanging out here around the 'ole virtual workbench.

Thanks for sharing your experience on this thread.

The suction in the system is much higher as measured by water column and subjectively. I did not enlarge the fan inlet aperature. All my tubing is 4 inch so I did not think it made any sense.  Was worth the pain getting off the old impeller.

I added the Dust Deputy to my system using a 5 inch hose to the DC. All other is 4 inch and that change to the 5 did add somewhat to performance.

Thanks to all who have welcomed me on this old post.

Gerald ,
I took your advice and from my Oneida 4 inch cyclone kit (has a 4 inch inlet but can have a 5 inch outflow to the DC) I Placed a 5 inch hose from cyclone outflow to the DC impeller inlet.  While everything that goes into the Cyclone is 4 inch, subjectively,

I think even that has made a difference! With the gates shut (which I won't do again) the plastic of the cyclone starts to bend inward... so I think I am pretty much at my suction upgrade limit !!

Many thanks again
