Waiting on a few missing parts to show up.

Just curious...what is your source for parts for older tools like this?

Maybe some propane or MAP gas to heat it up some to encourage it to move?

Beka has the OEM saw....plus I have one from the other #358 mitre box....out of the 4 that came with it, back in 2016.....sold the mitre box and it's saw to stumpy down at Charles Neil's get together...sold 2 saws on feebay...kept one as a spare for the langdon 75, for when it's saw was being sharpened.

Saw I picked at a garage sale today...is for a Goodell-Pratt mitre box...says so right on the saw's plate.

Deck has been trimmed to size...

Haven't decided whether to use this Pine version, or use it as a pattern to trim the Poplar one.

Painting the swing arm in a little bit.  Have to tape the areas I don't want painted...first.

Yard sales today..picked a few hollow shaft nut drivers....50 cents a piece...picked up 3.   Sold as "Fuller" brand.

Once the paint dries, and the tape comes off...I can start to assemble the swing arm.

Stay tuned..

maybe by the time the next TPW get together happens,

I hope so! Any volunteers as host? We'll help with the financing of the day, we just need a host. Thanks for opening that door Steve.

That is a complicated machine.  Thanks for stepping us through this thing so we can see how it goes together and operates. And, you are doing a terrific job getting this beauty back to operational.
