Popular Post Steve Krumanaker Posted April 5, 2019 Popular Post Report Posted April 5, 2019 Our club meets this Sunday, I got demo duty. In the interest of spring, doing an easy spindle project. Garden dibbles. They're easy to do but also a good skill builder. Plan to spend a bit of time on rolling a bead and how important is getting the "V" notch right. Popular Post Artie Posted April 7, 2019 Popular Post Report Posted April 7, 2019 I’m sorry, what’s a garden dibble? (I’m waiting to see if a really good punchline follows, or if they’re a real item LOL) Cal, Dadio, Gunny and 2 others 3 2 Quote

I only know because someone asked me to make one years ago. And I had no idea what they were talking about. The lines are for depth, each seeds has different depth. Not that I do any gardening... ever. Edited April 7, 2019 by Woodbutcherbynight Steve Krumanaker, Artie, Cal and 2 others 5 Quote
Steve Krumanaker Posted April 7, 2019 Author Report Posted April 7, 2019 Well, here's a fair warning to the wise. Never go into a demo thinking it's a simple turning and will be a breeze. Got a catch rolling the first bead, then got another catch. Then, had a major dig in with the skew, until today, my best friend. One silly mistake after another. I did save the piece but how embarrassing!! Puzzles me as I thought I'd prepared pretty well. Oh well, I'll get a chance to redeem myself next month. FlGatorwood, Dadio, Artie and 2 others 4 1 Quote
