Hey I’m back at it again. I had a couple of Friday’s that just got busy early and Ron came to my rescue.

This week we have been working on Cedar shutters for a customer. Got them all sanded and ready for delivery today.

While we were waiting on those to dry we got a panel glued for a kitchen work table glued out of Red Elm.

Still making stock for our last show of the year. Glued a batch of cutting booand last night got them all run through the drum sander.

This weekend will be more of the same.

Take time out out this weekend to recognize our veterans and let them know how much you appreciate them and the sacrifices they made.

So what’s on your agenda? We love to see and hear about your projects so post them and pictures so we can see what you are working on.

Have a great weekend and whatever you do have fun and be safe.

Cedar shutters!  I am sorta torn on that one John...  I would love to see a pic of the house after they go up.  I am sure it will look gorgeous.  In my mind I have pictured an old farmhouse style with wide wrap around porch...

Not much woodworking for me right now.  Wife had knee surgery yesterday so my new duties include gopher and chauffeur.  Doing a bit of work on the son's car in between those "other" duties.

haven't made it past coffee yet and deciding if it's gonna be turnovers or sticky buns...

Good to have you back John and see you've at least got your nose above the water line.:P Well some of the time.

Past week: Some piece meal piddling in the garage. Weather less than cooperative.

Weekend: Shuttle services. Since early AM we've been getting either snrain or rasnow...hard to tell...either way nasty. Deep freeze to begin tonight through early next week so shop work is suspended until further notice or spring...which ever makes sense. I have a back log of past due threads to post, so will keep working on those. Brush up on my intimidating grandpa skills since both girls are going to the fall dance tomorrow night:1979502852_DevilLaughing: I suspect a few college football games will be watched tomorrow afternoon...that should keep me out of harms way while the girls get ready.

Relatives back in town for a week- that about says it all.

@Cal prayers for a complete and painless recovery for the Mrs.

She will need that.  That's painful but the benefits are worth it.  Hope it goes smoothly.

Dinner with my siblings tomorrow and working on Christmas items.

I just put the finishing touches on a cabinet that will be picked up next week.  Today is load up for a show tomorrow and attend a Veterans Day program as a guest of my granddaughters.  The weekend isn’t here and I’m bushed already.9B21E326-BD04-46CB-958F-8973508200D9.jpeg

bought 4 sheets of pre-finished 3/4" maple plywood yesterday, $88.50/sheet!  will be turned into a 12 drawer storage cabinet for my office.  still need to get the glides and pulls.  likely start work next week.  also need 2 sheets of 1/2" ply for the bottoms.  try to get that locally.

Here's wishing for a fast recover time, with no pain.

I just finished vacuuming and mopping. I certainly understand why Phyl was told to NOT do it.

In the shop, I'm making a larger slab flatenning sled. This one will handle a 3'X5' slab.

Am now 10k in the hole....traded the 2006 Town & Country off this morning....and  now driving around a 2010 Dodge Grand Caravan SE....will see how the budgets  come out,  before any wood gets bought...

Was NOT a painless process....kind of drained....may try tomorrow about any thing in the shop.   Single Brain Cell Sketch Up does have a "plan"...working out the details..

New saw blade in the tablesaw...might come in handy.   Picked a pair up yesterday...installed one.    And threw out the old Piranha blade...

Sweet! Nice looking. Nice color. Cat will blend in almost seamlessly.:P

Went to a tool show at Cleveland tools yesterday. I was interested in getting some saw blades sharpened, the cost for a carbide tip 40T was more than a new blade, I'll keep looking. I did buy a Kreg K5 pocket hole system, came as a tool show special. Plenty of extras not out of the box yet, that will be later today.
