November 10, 20187 yr Popular Post Finally got the Limbert table finished, I love oil based varnish, but the drying time is a PITA. On deck I've planed the needed hickory (cabinet) and poplar (drawers) for the wife's 2 drawer lateral file cabinet. Also have a piece of hickory ply for the cabinet. I have to say, it was enjoyable to be planing for a while. The hickory was 4/4 rough and I took it to 3/4", the poplar was skip planer 4/4, and I took it to 5/8", my normal thickness for drawers.

November 10, 20187 yr Popular Post Sitting here, picking dried glue off me fingers.....have a pair of 1/2" panels sitting in the clamps.....then I can size four panels for size....as I need to trim down the two end panels....."Just another Oak Box" sort of thing....working with Oak always leaves the shop smelling like a Tea Pot.... Sharpened a few edged items....2,000 grit, then stropped. Couple chisels, and finished sharpening that "new" plane iron. WR #62 to flatten the sole a bit better, and clean the sides. Will see how the rest of today goes...

Am now about 10k in the hole....for the next 33 months. Thats like mine, same color too, sure like the fold out of sight seats, got a lot of buttons on it I am still finding ones I didn't know I had. The radio controls on the steering wheel, the brake pedal distance adjustment under the steering column, all kinds of buttons everywhere. I sure like the way it drives and rides, you are going to like it. I had a Ford Free Star before it, but hated unbolting and lifting out the seats when I wanted to haul lumber, real pain in the back. Good for you, Herb
November 10, 20187 yr @ John Moody You sure do some interesting projects. Love the shutters, are they going to paint them? A real shame if they do, but don't think the color will hold up in the sunlight. If I may ask , how much do you get for the cutting boards? You must have them priced right to sell as many as you make. Herb
