October 23, 20188 yr comment_163700 I've read somewhere that those clonal colonies are the largest living organisms in the world. Each tree's root system is part of every other tree system in the colony. I'm guessing that they are all genetically alike. After a forest fire east of me, an entire colony was wiped out. On a recent trip through the area, it seems that they are coming back. Good to see. Report

October 24, 20188 yr comment_163820 yay! it's been raining for the last day or so, should stop around noon. rain water tanks are now full, so we can use that water for next few weeks (instead of having to haul water to the house). love free water. waiting for a UPS package (not a bomb, a new iPad), we'll get that set up for my wife, and then, if i have time, may wander down to the shop and see what i can make. or just clean things up a bit.
