Coming Up For Air (woodworking)

Well, looks like I may be coming up for air soon! Been since the beginning of August since I've done some serious work in my shop. I just finished cleaning up and making my shop look like a workable space, and I set my Curly Maple Shaker Rocker on the bench that I started 5 months ago. I'm feeling pretty good here.

I have my shop back!

Dogs are enjoying the space too.

I will sleep good tonight, the world is right again!

Happy dogs!

You may want to update that picture on your bulletin board.

Those dogs are happy! That one's tail is just a blur!!

Your shop looks nice and clean,John, and you are doing great on the chair. You might want to fix the rope on the stool before it all unwinds.:)

Herb

I know that you have been in and out, but hey, welcome back!

Cal

Glad you're back in the shop John. Wait a minute ----------------!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!. I had to check, I thought that white dog was mine.

I'm going to have to think about making one of those chairs. Hope that you have control of those wolves!

Shop looks great John...glad you're back at it and with us...

So...where did you lose the dogs food bowls during the cleaning?:P

They are completely happy Lew, for sure, they look rather sad in the image, but as you noted that tail was wagging like crazy. The little dog Woody, he's just old.

Thanks a bunch Herb, that rope is part of that wound cushion, can't really explain what type of cushion it is, the cushion is about 50 years old, as old as I am, I do need to get that sewn back up, I'd sure hate to lose the entire cushion.

I only have to worry about those wolves when they get hungry Hat, that bigger dog is Jessie, she likes to eat the strangest things, never had a dog like her. She loves bread! She also loves lettuce, go figure.

When you are ready to make one of these chairs, let us know, I have a list of books for ya.

I may have lost the bowls Gramps, but the dogs will surely find them for me when the time comes!

a shop w/ character...

nicely done John...

The chair is gonna be awesome. That curly stuff will be a real show stopper.

Glad you finally got the decks cleared but, I don't know how you can work in in such a clean and tidy space. ;)

That'll change, I assure you!

Also I might have to move this post over to the formal section for I see you wear a bow tie while in the shop or is it my eyes that are deceiving me?
