and here I sit about 2 months away from fresh peaches.

They're all "put up" now. We don't can any more. She slices them and puts them in vacuum sealed bags and freezes them. 

I underestimated the amount. There's actually over 40#. 

The season is about over in S. AZ. I seem to remember, back in IL, we picked peaches in late July.

About the same time frame here in WC-IN too...of course I'm only 30 minutes from IL line so make sense..:D

When I was in HS we had about 8 or 9 peach trees...2 or 3 produced white peaches...those almost melted in your mouth...even better under a few scoops of vanilla ice cream. I haven't seen or eaten white peaches in years...

IIRC, my mom couldn't/wouldn't can white ones. I think they got too mushy. But delicious eating off the tree. Been a looong time for me, too.
