May 17, 20179 yr One minor thing you all missed from the pictures that is OSB not particle board. Particle board is not permitted as subfloor in most places. As I side note I install Hardwood over my OSB sub floor. I can sure tell where I skipped a nail. I would recommend all OSB be removed before laying a hardwood floor.
May 19, 20179 yr Author Michael, thanks for your input. You are correct, the pictures show OSB subfloor. The particle board was the underlayment that I had already pulled up. I refastened all OSB subfloor with screws and screwed down 3/4" T&G OSB underlayment. I will be putting down a laminate floor covering. I have all the underlayment down now and it is nice and tight - no squeaks whatsoever. Hope it stays that way! Cal
