Another great week for woodturning information here at the Patriot Woodworkers!

Member, HandyDan, posted a super pictorial on making some more inside-out turnings

You can see all of the steps at- http://thepatriotwoodworker.com/topic/19171-lots-of-glue-and-clamps/

Dan also started a topic about hollowing tools and how they can be made to lessen catches and dig ins- http://thepatriotwoodworker.com/topic/19185-hollowing-tools/

In response to to Dan's post, member Steve, posted his fantastic hollowing system.

Steve explains the build here- http://thepatriotwoodworker.com/topic/19200-my-hollowing-rig/

Not only did Steve show us his hollowing ring, he also posted a little turned maple box. But not just any box!

I cannot imagine being able to create that design on the outside of a turning!

Member, Ron, has been working with his new chatter tools. He's made some really nice looking Easter Eggs.

Last week, I mentioned Cliff had manufactured a monster, negative rake scraper. He posted another short video of the overall construction and, in response to some questions, a video explaining the advantages of the negative rake.

Cliff also Put up a short video on a new hook tool he purchased. You can see the video and the discussion here- http://thepatriotwoodworker.com/topic/19197-got-me-a-hook-tool/

I guess just about all of us have cell phones. Here's a cool little project from Tim Yoder- a passive amplifier for your phone. These work on about the same principal as the old Victrola phonograph players.

You may have to experiment with the shape/size and location of the hole in the rear to get the best results.

Safe Turning

so much great work....     WHEW!!!

Another jam packed week on "As the Wood Turns" by our resident performers.  So much variety & talent...

Thanks Lew for pulling all of these "episodes" into one preview.

Thanks for the nod again Lew.  A lot of good posts this week.  It is nice getting another look at them in your posts.

Thanks again.

I have to agree with the consensus, nicely done, again!

Steve
