Up early this morning to fetch some pine and a piece of plywood that will earn its place as the bottom of a drawer in a case for 40 ukuleles.  Yes, you heard correctly, 40.  My daughter is an elementary school art and music teacher and she won 40 ukes in a national contest.  That, dear friends, is my week.

Until "America's Got Talent" last year, the only ukulele player I knew of was Arthur Godfrey.  It seems to be making a comeback with the younger generation.

I take it Tiny Tim was before your time? That's the first person I think of when I hear 'ukulele'!

I complete forgot about Tiny Tim tiptoeing thru the tulips. Indeed a unique individual ! He arrived long after Arthur Godfrey.

that has to hurt...

" running up my stairs "   and you've been told how many times not to be running in the house/hallways?  :o  Guess we're lucky you weren't holding a pencil in your hand...

Saturday...volunteered Habitat.   Sunday...worked as tree pusher helping neighbors move some wood.   Picked up a small torch set to get in more trouble.

or scissors...

What have you got against us?

John

Not to change the subject, but after a cold week last week it feels like spring here - 70's!

I took advantage of this to get some yard work started - it is never done..

After today, I will never complain about sanding ever again.  Anyone that complains about sanding has never pruned grape vines!  I spent all afternoon today on my two vines.  But it was absolutely beautiful out, and I had some tunes playing (no ukes or TT).  I go through this every year when I prune them...

Dan, those are wonderful tutorials, thanks so much for employing them here on TPW. A thousand kudos!

I know, sounds funny don't it, but, could have been down the stairs! That would of hurt! Reality is my wife needed something, I ran. It was an emergency, well, at least to her it was.

Habitat does wonderful work, congratulations. What was your duties for that particular project?

Just minding the hardware department while they're open (and acting like i almost know what i'm talking about)...

Before the end of the year i was helping sort stuff out and stock shelves with stuff that's been donated.   Haven't been to one of their builds and still have all my safety classes to finish (just like work).  still have my regular job so busy during the week now..
