Gene, as stated in the announcement, yes we will to the extent of how the proceeds were used. As for the family and their Christmas Day, I would love it if they contact us and tell us how it went, I did drop a little small, very tiny suggestion to them, if they can provide images or something to show how the kids received their gifts from you all, it would be quite enjoyable for our members, but they are most certainly not obligated at all. If and when I receive anything from the family, I most certainly will forward to everyone here. I can tell you all this, they were, and are very very grateful for all you have done for them. I can clip some text from back-n-forth emails I have had with the family and post them here, and I will perhaps when I get in tonight. On a personal level, I am very proud of the work you all did with this project, we have never had a turn out like this, it was awesome. I am moved and grateful too you all. At the heart of our woodworking community here on The Patriot Woodworker, this is why we exist, and you all came through in Red, White and Blue flying colors! Dadio Posted December 20, 2016 Report Posted December 20, 2016 Congratulations on the raffle, my only complaint was on the last day notice, I was ready to buy more tickets and it was closed to internet donations.??? Herb John Morris 1 Quote

Herb Herb, I apologize for that, Raffle River for some reason closes the raffle a few hours before the draw, I don't know why. Next time I will try to account for that and notify our supporters of the real deadline to purchase tickets. Dadio and Grandpadave52 2 Quote

FlGatorwood Posted December 20, 2016 Report Posted December 20, 2016 First, Congratulations to the team that put this together. This is a great project that I was able to support. Secondly, congratulations to the winners. Some really nice tools. I am glad I didn't win as I would have to figure out where to put things, so I am relieved of that stress. Seriously, I have no need for another tool. That would mean that I am more capable to take on more jobs. Thanks for this wonderful project and I hope all the winners get to enjoy those nice tools. As others have expressed, I would like a follow up on the family that was the recipient of the funds. Steve, the old FlGatorwood John Morris, Dadio and Grandpadave52 3 Quote

Ron Dudelston Posted December 22, 2016 Report Posted December 22, 2016 I want to tag onto my previous post a HUGE shout out and thank you to our incredible and unwavering sponsors. These folks stand by us and our causes and deserve our thanks and support. I'd ask y'all that when you start shopping for equipment, tools and woodworking "stuff", please give Laguna, EWT and Woodcraft the first look. John Morris, Gene Howe, Chips N Dust and 1 other 4 Quote
Grandpadave52 Posted December 22, 2016 Report Posted December 22, 2016 Absolutely Ron! Without the Sponsors commitment and generosity to TPW and Operation Ward 57 this opportunity would not have been obtainable. 4 hours ago, Ron Dudelston said: I want to tag onto my previous post a HUGE shout out and thank you to our incredible and unwavering sponsors. Grandpadave52 Posted December 24, 2016 Report Posted December 24, 2016 Christmas came a bit early and in an expected fashion this year for one very lucky Patriot Woodworker Forum member...me... Gotta tell you I struggled with the decision to come forward revealing my secret alien identity but decided the greater good for the site, members, sponsors, and Akin family outweighed my anonymity...so, not to gloat (OK maybe just a tiny bit ), I was fortunate enough to have my name drawn for the $500 Laguna Gift Certificate in the Operation Ward 57 program. So there you have it and now you know...the more important thing because of all of you, the Akin family received the Spirit of Christmas through your generosity. Thanks to all who participated, to TPW and staff and all the sponsors (especially Laguna ) for making this possible. Merry Christmas all!
