Fresh off the truck and in my shop!

 

Just a quick check to make all is there, appears to be new.

 

 

Probably about as far as I'll go with it for a few days, in fact for the next week or so it will be in the way more than anything. Not sure where I'm going to put it just yet. Maybe in the garage up at the house. It might be nice in the summer to just turn in the driveway. On top of the great price, with prime it was two day shipping no charge. Incidentally, current price on Amazon is $588.00, unbelievable.

For me, Prime has been well worth the money saved in shipping costs already.

 

That looks like the same lathe that Carl Jacobson had before he upgraded to a Robust. Who knows, he might even still have the Delta

That's kind of what I have in mind. I'd like it to be somewhat portable and something I can load/unload from my pickup by  myself.

Should work well for that...doesn't have to be DW...just something similar that could be adapted and robust enough to minimize vibration yet wouldn't take the Incredible Hulk to maneuver.

It's not quite as nice as yours, but this arrived here today. I have been wanting needing one for a few years, and now had an excuse to buy one.

Dremel 4000, with some attachments. The 4000 was washed out by the flash

I had a fake one a few years ago but never did like it, I did keep the attachments to it though.

Been kind of considering this but I don't see a good way to make it mobile. Still, I like the wide stance of it a lot. Woodtek Versa stand

Yea, it is. I remember his kids got it for him, either for Christmas or his birthday, not sure. I believe he sold it when he got his PM 4224B, which he sold when he got his Robust American Beauty, I am quite possibly envious.

Something like this might work...Studio Caster Wheels if you could match socket ID to leg OD...not sure how they would track/endure gravel...

 

Another option might be drill holes in (2) legs, use push mower wheel bolts and use (2) wheel assy/leg (one inside/ one outside) just typing out loud.

Sweet Charles...use my Dremel (& the Craftsman clone) all the time for tool refurbs, some sharpening & "carving". Very handy to have around...you'll find uses for it all the time.

I bet it wouldn't be too hard to put castors on, and they even make some that lock, which is the only safe way to do it.

Yea I am all the time working with wormy wood, so having a way to reem out all those holes in short order is a good thing. sharpening is also a great use for it

I'm sure it will pay for itself quickly.

I would go with this one if it is sturdy enough.  Looks like it folds down like a dolly and could be leaned against the tailgate to then lift the other end and into the truck.  The extensions would be nice to fashion some tool holders to.

Now that's cool. Unfortunately, I don't have an air compressor and they are more expensive and take up way more room

 

I did see the original video from Capt. Eddie on baking soda blasting drill bits.
