September 8, 20169 yr Author comment_72886 Somedays, that is all I have to work with.. OK, dug out the footpath to this "thing" And even found some chisels stash on it, under a bunch of over stuff.. So, cut off the excess on the blank, measured a few times to find a center point. Then add a drive spur.. Gave it a spin to see how it would go.. I never took the lathe out of granny gear, but I got things close to roughed out.. Has a collar and a tenon on one end, and.. A recess for the legs. Motor for the lathe was getting warm. I'm getting worn out. Time to give both a rest to cool down... Next time, I might finish this turning? Maybe.. Report

September 8, 20169 yr Author comment_72893 White wood is sap wood from the Walnut slab. The parts I needed to stay put...did. Needs a second session, after the motor on the lathe cools off. maybe another hour's work to get it where I want.. Report
