When we last visited this issue, I had the Roof on and the sides wrapped. This week I gave up on the free door. It was left outside too long, and the wood core was rotting, so on my way to the orange box store for fasteners, I decided to buy a storm door that gave me the option of have a sliding window for more ventilation. Then I built two seven-foot by 30 inch tables for SWMBO's plants Now I have to frame in windows on each end of the house, and build two more tables, 5' long x 4' wide. Once the growing season is over, I have to dig out the floor and put something suitable down. This is the madness she's creating. This is her She-shed This is the dining room and this is the entry area

My son purchased a home in March 2021. Since closing on the house, he has had issues with the soffit panels in the front of his house. I need your advice on what should/could be done to help hold the soffit panels into the J-channel. The soffit panels are staying in place above the garage but are falling out above the porch. Weather does not appear to be a factor. He has pushed some of the panels beyond where they should be so that they do not fall out. The vinyl trim under the guttering is firm. It will only move ~ 1/8” max towards the J-channel. What can he do help hold the panels where they belong? Danl The soffit is secure above the garage. The porch soffit pushed above the J-channel. The soffit falling out of the J-channel. The porch soffit pushed back into the J-channel.

Don't think I've posted these here, but ran across the photo doing some searching and clean up. These were made from mostly re-cycled cedar (legs were from Restore, slats from old rough-sawn siding). They come apart and the seat slides into the back making a compact and easy to carry package. I keep them in the camper for outdoor seating.

As I continue to work on the shop I was able to get all the siding on with the exception of one small 13" strip. Most of the pictures have been from this angle. I got the siding on the East side also. I have still got to cut out the siding over the window on this side. And I have all of the East wall up except a 13" strip where it will join the old shop. Eventually all of the old vinyl siding will be removed and this type siding will be installed. So this is the next update. If you notice the first picture you will see the rafter. They are not cut to fit yet but I should get those install Monday and Tuesday of next week. Until then....
