Just a friendly reminder- Income Tax deadline is less than a week away! Our Patriot Turners- @RustyFN posted an update on subject he started a while back. Rusty was looking for plans for a lathe stand suitable for a handicapped turner. Check out the what Gerald mentioned and the new item added to the continuing post. @Fred W. Hargis Jr showed us his finished table. Fred had mentioned that he was working on turning legs for this project. I'd say he did a mighty fine job on these! The first video is from a live demo so it's a little long- Mike Peace uses a totally different tool to create textured details Richard Raffan ebonizes a bowl with his own mixture of ebonizing solution. Turning Time With Easy Wood Tools- Easy Wood Tools introduce the negative rake cutter to overcome the chipping caused by traditional HSS tools when turning acrylics. These cutters leave an amazingly smooth surface on resins and wood alike.
