Anyone seen any great Black Friday tool deals? I just saw a video on Lowe's and they had some various brand cordless tool sets. I don't really need any of them. Heavy on Craftsman stuff. Pass. Haven't checked out Menards or Home Depot yet. I was in Aldi yesterday buying some milk and they have a "portable workbench", sort of a Workmate type of thing for about $25.

Anyone heard when the official black friday is for HF? I keep getting pelted with ads for 15% off everything this weekend. Puzzling since always 20% coupons, but i guess some things I don't buy are excluded and there is no count limit. Anyway, I saw an early ad leaked, but don't see what I was looking for in this week's blast.

Guys, does anyone plan on making any Black Friday tool buys? Any great deals to be had? I'm looking for a good palm router, with an led light and great reviews.

Friday, Nov. 27th, What's on Your Patriot Woodworker Agenda?
John Moody posted a topic in General Woodworking
Black Friday gets this weekend started off and there were lots of deals out there, both in the stores and online. Hope you got a chance to take advantage of some of them. I'm not much on standing in line, but I have been know to do it. I got up this morning and went to Lowe's to get a new ShopVac. Regular 99.00 for 39.00. I both one at those prices about 10 years ago and it is still running and hooked to my ROS and Belt Sanders. I figured and much as it runs it may keep the bucket and now would be a good time to have a standby ready I also got out today since it warmed up here and repaired the gas in going to the shop so I will have heat when needed. Back in early summer when we started trying to widen the shop the line got cut. I let if thinking when they got my footings dug then I would move it and put it back. Since we have had so much rain this year I still have no footings dug so it was time to put it back together. I figure the guy will show up now that I have it back together. I guess I was a good thing I got certified on poly pipe when I was at the gas department even though I was doing the computers and network. Got it together and no leaks and you don't check them with a candle! So now it is in the shop to start cutting a batch of boards into end grain pieces and get the glued. And Beth is already in the shop sanding or texting and sanding! Well what is going on in your Patriot Woodworker shop? You know we here at TPW love to see your projects and hear all about them. i have got to run and get busy, she is wanting to know where I am. Have a great time in your shop and I hope you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving and got really stuffed! I am off to the shop.. Catch you all later....- 11 replies
