Eucalyptus Spoon Top

The spoon is roughed out, and I carved the shape with a couple sloyd style knives.

Looks like you are getting there. Is that green wood?

@Gerald, yes it is green wood, I finally ended up with a shape of a spoon! This was completely enjoyable, the spoon is done, it took me about 45 minutes to shape it out, then to dish the spoon out, and I let it sit a couple days to dry (they seem to dry very fast) enough then I rubbed mineral oil on it and it looks really good, it is wild looking, probably not the most usable spoon but it looks neat. It's sitting on a shelf as my first spoon. I'll get a final image of it up asap.

Plane Sawn: Plain sawn lumber is the most common type of cut. The annular rings are generally 30 degrees or less to the face of the board; The resulting wood displays a cathedral pattern on the face of the board.">PS, Eucalyptus is horrible to use for this!
