Custom oak sign

Guy is restoring a 54 (or 55) GMC pick up.  Sign was for his company, started by his late father.

Oh, I really like this one...absolutely enhances an already gorgeous box not to mention a beautifully restored '52 or '53 Chevy/GMC? truck.

The dovetails on that box are outstanding!!

I can't take credit for the nitrous box, although I'd love to.  The sign is 2 oak stair treads from HD glued together with the round edges trimmed off and used as a decorative edge on something else.  It made for a nice solid thick piece.  I just ran the router around it with a round over bit.  My hunting buddy Bruce did the finishing of all the wood.  He's been working on this GMC off and on for about 18 years now.  Says he's going to finish it this year (or maybe next).

:D:lol:...haven't we all said that "when we get a round tuit!" :P Good idea using the stair treads.
