March 19, 201412 yr comment_4036 ok need help, picked up a planer from craftsman(pics uploaded),where do i go to find out how to set it up,i have a motor for it just need to know where to place it. Report
March 20, 201412 yr comment_4044 Ron, that is a cool tool indeed man. Nice and old, and American Made! Ron, from what I have seen the motor is mounted to a secondary base such as the bottom of the home made cabinet you may set the planer on. See image below, now that you do not have a factory stand for your planer, you can see the general location the motor needs to be at, you could easily construct a wood stand with the same configuration. March 21, 201412 yr comment_4040 It's going to be a grand project Ron, I would build a base with drawers and storage too while you are at it, make it a piece of art, contrasting woods etc. Have fun!!! Report
