Hello.  Finally remembered the name of this forums. It's been a about 4 years. She was in hospice for 3 years. So far, I have been cleaning and downsizing. I don't wish that on anyone.  I am going to try to come back for the time I have left.

But, I will try to be here, to offer any information or experience.  I have many projects to execute before it gets hot. So, cleaning days will be limited to windy and rainy days. On good weather days, the Shopsmith and I will be humming along on a project. So, Hello folks. Just a quick browse around the forums, some familiar names, some new names and some missing names. So, I will now get to work.

@FlGatorwood...Welcome back Steve. So great to have you back with us. We've certainly missed your presence and participation. Very sorry to hear about Anne. @Al B and @LarryS and I still hang out here from the old Handyman Club Days as well as others you met along the way here.

You'll be pleased to know donuts are still a discussion topic from time to time. Looking forward to seeing your projects again. Blessings to you and stay strong my friend.

Thank you for the warm welcome in our chilly winter. I hope all are well and not dealing with the White powder. About to turn some round shorts into little snowmen. My thinking is that they can have them next year and paint and decorate with glue and glitter.  Thanks all. Have a safe and warm day.

Hi Steve, I’ve been pretty absent myself, for a period long enough, I’m gonna need to make a post myself. This has been what might be one of our best Christmas’s ever, and your post kinda just made that complete. I am SO happy to see you here!

Welcome back Steve.

Chilly winter in FL? If you need a cooling off its 36 here now.

Thanks, Artiest. Was thinking of you the other day while turning some snowmen.  Hoping you have tried turning and still have all your digits.  I promise it is addictive.  😀

Larry, so good to see you here. I have been browsing and a couple of names are missing and I am so thankful for all the rest of you.  Looks like the community is growing. I see that John has added a Shopsmith section.  I have mixed feelings about that.  When our son was diagnosed with ADD about 1989 the system wanted to put him in special classes.  I requested main stream so he would be exposed to all the material that most other students received.  It has taken awhile, but at age 46 he is catching on and remembers topics discussed in elementary school.

Al and Gerry, I posted a response to you but I don't see it now. AL, it hurts to see that you have to quit wood working but so thankful that you are still sharing knowledge and experience.  I really appreciate you. You shared a book with me many years ago. I am now looking through it to make another box.

Gerry, you, too, have been inspirational to me about turning.  I still have a piece of crepe myrtle in the garage to make angels. I have many things to get rid of after collecting for 53 years. Time to complete projects at an accelerated speed.  Have cleaned 2 bedrooms and working on number 3. Will work on it Monday and Tuesday during the cold days. Day time highs expected upper 40's to lower 50's. Nights about freezing. Not cold enough to drip water but the heater will kick on. Lol

I have NOT yet tried turning. I have the everything i need, (I think), just gotta find the time, and motivation. But that is what I need, something addicting! 🙂
