MWTCA What's It Project

I'm running out of What's It tools for our members to research, MWTCA has not posted anything new in quite awhile and what I'm finding on the web have been demystified already, does anyone have some good sources for mystery tools? If you do a search on the subject, I have already used TATH's, Farm Collector, LeToolman. Thanks for any help with this!

Time to start on the Christmas fun guys!

 

Odds and ends weekend. Taped the cut offs from 2 inch insulation board and made 2 more to fit windows. 5 of 7 now have 4 inches of board in them.  Stuff is $40 for a 4x8 sheet, waste isn't an option ya know?

 

Made holder for my zip ties at work. Old vacuum cleaner hard plastic tubing and added two magnets.

 

Monday?  Monday?  ( Song title?)   have errands to run....not sure about any shop time, today...

Great demo at the Harrisburg PA Woodcraft store. Discovered my stamina for standing several hours isn't what it was when I taught school. Used to be on my feet 8 to 9 hours straight 😟

 

Gonna get my garlic planted and some of the tender garden plants pulled this week- we've had frost but it missed the tomatoes and the Carolina Reaper pepper plant- neither are still producing.

What did I get done over the weekend?

I made three things simultaneously..............sawdust...............noise........and a tape dispenser for my 1" and 1 1/2" painters tape I use in the shop. 🤪

 

 

 

 

Working on shop update/reorganization/repair. Eventually I'll gain about 200 Sq ft, along with additional of a minisplit, but right now it is a mess!

need to do some math and plan out lumber quantity needed to build 10 bookcases, 48H, 24W, 9 Deep.......lots of edge banding in my future....ugh.

 

I spent the morning mowing. We had our second light frost last night so that means the Butternut tree dumped more leaves.

It's going to be an easy cleanup year without the mass dumping of all the leaves at once that comes with a hard frost.

I admire you folks who have Seasons, we are headed for a warm up in the mid 90's through the week 

I'd like to have 3 seasons, not real fond of the fourth one and that's the reason Spring is my favorite. It's the farthest season from the one I want to lose.

I live in the Northwest Rain Forest. Trees have changed all kinds of color and is beautiful. We are just ending what's called an Indian summer. But now it's raining for the Ark. You can have the rain.

hey Rick, how far are you up into BC? Towards the USA end or the Yukon end?

@MrRick Oh I see, Maple Ridge, right on the border with USA. I was asking because our son landed in Tacoma Wash yesterday and he loves it already, the change of colors and the feel of Autumn in the air, he's a So CAL kid so seeing trees with fall colors is fun for him, and he said it's cold up there! 🙂 

He plans on visiting BC during one of his leaves from Ft Lewis Wash.

John...I live in the Vancouver lower mainland. Maple Ridge is about 15 min from the border. And yes... it's 46°F here at the moment. And wet!

We can only dream of that in So CAL! I think we are going to have a pretty decent winter this year though, our drought has been over for the last couple years and the meteorologists are calling for a nice chilli and wet winter for us, fingers crossed! We need the rain!

I'm from San Diego before moving up here. I know the weather and climate down there. Your son is in for a treat visiting here. He'll love it. Tell him once he's here to drive up to Cache creek! He'll be blown away.

I'm gonna pass on that cold weather stuff.  Did time up in Alaska with Marines before being redeployed to South America.  Because Military Intelligence right?
