Popular Post lew Posted October 27 Popular Post Report Posted October 27 Great demo at the Harrisburg PA Woodcraft store. Discovered my stamina for standing several hours isn't what it was when I taught school. Used to be on my feet 8 to 9 hours straight Gonna get my garlic planted and some of the tender garden plants pulled this week- we've had frost but it missed the tomatoes and the Carolina Reaper pepper plant- neither are still producing. Popular Post frenchwwr Posted October 27 Popular Post Report Posted October 27 I spent the morning mowing. We had our second light frost last night so that means the Butternut tree dumped more leaves. It's going to be an easy cleanup year without the mass dumping of all the leaves at once that comes with a hard frost. steven newman, Fred W. Hargis Jr, HARO50 and 4 others 7 Quote

Popular Post frenchwwr Posted October 27 Popular Post Report Posted October 27 I'd like to have 3 seasons, not real fond of the fourth one and that's the reason Spring is my favorite. It's the farthest season from the one I want to lose. Fred W. Hargis Jr, steven newman, HARO50 and 5 others 1 7 Quote

Popular Post John Morris Posted October 27 Author Popular Post Report Posted October 27 @MrRick Oh I see, Maple Ridge, right on the border with USA. I was asking because our son landed in Tacoma Wash yesterday and he loves it already, the change of colors and the feel of Autumn in the air, he's a So CAL kid so seeing trees with fall colors is fun for him, and he said it's cold up there! He plans on visiting BC during one of his leaves from Ft Lewis Wash. HARO50, Grandpadave52, Gerald and 4 others 7 Quote

I think we are going to have a pretty decent winter this year though, our drought has been over for the last couple years and the meteorologists are calling for a nice chilli and wet winter for us, fingers crossed! We need the rain! Gerald, lew, steven newman and 3 others 6 Quote
MrRick Posted October 27 Report Posted October 27 (edited) I'm from San Diego before moving up here. I know the weather and climate down there. Your son is in for a treat visiting here.
