Popular Post Larry Buskirk Posted October 10 Popular Post Report Posted October 10 Friday again folks. Still working on trying to get those outdoor things done before the weather says, "You're Done" for this season here "Two Weeks From Anywhere". Been working on outdoor lighting both next door at Bruce's Antique Mall, and here through the Butterfly/Wildflower/Chaos/Weed Garden here. Also working on a pond project using that pile of Flagstone I got a while back. Not quite as quick as I used to be, but "Getting it Done". What's on Your Weekend Agenda? Popular Post Grandpadave52 Posted October 10 Popular Post Report Posted October 10 A very crisp, Fall type of morning here as well opened today at 33°. Finally daylight enough to scout out for frost but assume it's way to dry for any to form. Anyways, this weekend ends my 2 week post surgery restrictions. Recovery continues but each day gets a bit better so... I'll likely begin pondering about what day(s) next week I should consider mowing the yard. Lots of other outdoor fall projects to think about as well. Just thinking about all this thinking is wearing me out...I better check with the doctor to see if I can get a refill on my restrictions. Dr. John prescribes twelve (12) Donut pills. Take one (1) to three (3) pills whenever the urge strikes until they (the pills) are all gone. Popular Post StaticLV2 Posted October 11 Popular Post Report Posted October 11 Set up the new air filtration system out in the shop. I have been looking at the Powermatic PM1250 electrostatic filtration system for a while now and decided to take the plunge. I will post an update after I have the chance to make some sawdust. Anyway, on deck this weekend is the ongoing insanity with MFTs. This whole thing started when I needed an assembly table and found an adjustable height husky table. I built a torsion box MFT top for it and was pretty happy with it for a while. Then @Masonsailor got involved and revamped his workbench with an MFT top and some really good ideas and now I am incorporating some of those in my setup. This weekend I need to install some threaded inserts and get to work on a fence for repeatable crosscuts and route out a section for a replacable zero clearance insert for the track saw. Then possibly some fixtures for things like Shaper Origin tape boards and track saw dogs we will see how far we get. Gerald, HARO50, Fred W. Hargis Jr and 3 others 5 1 Quote

Popular Post Gerald Posted October 11 Popular Post Report Posted October 11 Lots of little projects around new house and shop. Started on shelves to go in bathroom cabinets yesterday. Of coarse that meant a bit of organizing in the shop also. . Also yesterday worked on getting slag graded off drive and into a walk to the front porch. That meant digging up some sod which I laid around faucet at the shop. Today I may get time to do a project or two at the old house and continue on the bathroom cabinets. Popular Post kmealy Posted October 12 Popular Post Report Posted October 12 Traveled back and forth to Virginia for the memorial service for our late brother-in-law. Got to see my wife's sister, all three of their kids, a few of the spouses, and a few of the grandkids . https://ompsfuneralhome.com/obituary/verne-edman-collins/ Review of the drive home: Travel in VA Go thru WV where there was an apple butter festival Head thru MD Back into WV Into PA another stint in WV arriving in Ohio and crossing east to west Was a bit amused by all the signs in WV warning trucks of 5%, 6%, and 7% downhill grades, brake checks, no trucks in the left lane signs, and truck escape ramps. Of all the Appalachian forests only saw one 10 or so acres of logging and one (empty) logging truck. HARO50, Larry Buskirk, Grandpadave52 and 2 others 5 Quote
