Popular Post Fred W. Hargis Jr Posted May 16 Popular Post Report Posted May 16 This weekend we have a granddaughter graduating from college. She attended Ohio Northern University, and will receive a BS in Applied Statistics. While we won't be participating greatly in the festivities, i do think a fair amount of out time will be somehow committed to this. If I get any home time I still have some more yard stuff to catch up on as well as getting back to work on my Famous Women quarter displays. steven newman, HARO50, Grandpadave52 and 6 others 9 Quote

Popular Post kmealy Posted May 16 Popular Post Report Posted May 16 Working on the Beetlejuice theater set. One thing that needs done is to finish the 4 mausoleums. Walls are stacked all over the place. Sandworm is nearing completion. Grandpadave52, Larry Buskirk, JWD and 7 others 10 Quote
Popular Post Grandpadave52 Posted May 16 Popular Post Report Posted May 16 Should have been mowing the past couple of days but worked on the raised garden beds instead. Last years four cleaned, soil added and tomatoes and peppers planted. Two more fully assembled, set, filled then radishes and carrots planted. Finally, two more set; still need filled. Storms rolled in so a short day today. Tomorrow, monthly men's breakfast then a couple of errands. May go look at a new to me pick-up? Church Sunday. Still plan to get some mowing done and those two garden beds finished. Still have four more to get set yet this year. Depending on how much rain we get yet tonight through tomorrow AM, also plan to get sweet corn, beans, peas etc planted in the regular ground gardens. lew, JimM, HARO50 and 6 others 9 Quote
Popular Post Gerald Posted May 17 Popular Post Report Posted May 17 Dave I am tried just reading all that gardening. I mowed in our "new " garden but found deer tracks inside fence so a stronger fence charger is in the planning stages, Mowed a large amount of the upper part of the ranch this morning . Just relaxed most of the afternoon til I started setting up computer to film demo at woodturners meeting tomorrow. Hope to get some more shop time tomorrow afternoon as I have packed up a lot of stuff but there is still a lot. Working on plans for locating cabinets and benches in new shop. Popular Post Bubba Posted May 17 Popular Post Report Posted May 17 With the heat coming on I am looking for an 18"ish pedestal fan for the shop/garage. Well the plastic ones I have seen are junk. I don't need a remote control and I don't belive I need. an oscillating feature. Harbor Freight don't have much of an offering, everything I saw at Home Depot and Lowe's today was too plastic, too expensive or too ginormous. Anyone know of a store where you can actually see them outside their cardboard skin. HARO50, DuckSoup, Larry Buskirk and 5 others 8 Quote
Popular Post Fred W. Hargis Jr Posted May 17 Popular Post Report Posted May 17 Good luck, Bubba. Finding something built in a quality manner is going to be tough. I share your frustration with the not being able to see the items as well. My guess is the stores figure if we can order on-line without actually seeing the items, we can buy it that way in the store as well. Gerald, lew, Gunny and 6 others 6 1 1 1 Quote

You might check online with Grainger, McMaster-Carr or Northern Tool (aka Hydraulics). Won't be inexpensive though. Also you might check with Farm Supply stores like Rural King, Runnings or Tractor Supply. Check with your local Ace Hardware too. Larry Buskirk, Fred W. Hargis Jr, Gerald and 5 others 8 Quote
Popular Post Bubba Posted May 17 Popular Post Report Posted May 17 Thanks for the suggestions Dave. I already checked out Northern Tool. There is a Tractor Supply in a town just East of me. I'll give them a call. There is also an Ace Hardware not far away. My budget is $150 max so surely I can find something that will work in that price range.ǰ lew, Fred W. Popular Post JWD Posted May 17 Popular Post Report Posted May 17 Today I'm heading a couple hours north to do some work on the ex's rental for her. Replacing light bulbs if you can believe it! Granted, they aren't the easiest to do - putting LED's in place of these little reflector halogen bulbs - but I'm a little surprised the renters can't figure it out. They are building windmills up there after all, you'd think those kids could manage a light bulb! Well, it ends up being a good deal for me so why not..... Tomorrow going to do a couple little fix jobs I've been putting off for too long, finish truing up that new to me bandsaw, and maybe have dinner with the neighbors. Hot, dry, and dusty here! Ship us a storm or two if you get tired of them! steven newman, Fred W. Hargis Jr, Larry Buskirk and 6 others 9 Quote
