 I have a tape rack that started out 3 feet. Now 12 feet.  She will fill it up and need another 10 feet in a week.

Don’t see a hanger. Wonder how to mount that thang.

All that rain the last few days...The Dungeon Creek has risen..Might wait a few, until the place dries out a bit?

 

And, that Fancy French Curve..since I seemed to have lost the Steel one..

That is sold by Chris Schwarz...May try a bit of lay out work in a bit...

Decided to drag this old machine out, and clean it up..

Then a bit of layout..

Then, buy the time I cut both ends, transfer those lines to a second board, cut those lines, plane both edges to match the other 2 edges...

Give everything a swipe with the #80..

I now have both sides of the New Spice Rack ready for Dados...

Went to the shop...merely to measure for the shelves...wound up doing some cuts..

A wider shelf for the bottom, was notched...and a finial was shaped...

A  dry fit was attempted... middle and upper shelf will sit in shallow dados...

As for a back?

These will need resawn, to match the other and last two 1/2"thick planks..

So I can glue this mess up into a panel for the back of the rack.

Good progress on "The Project for May-Part Deux"

 

Never mind my comment on the "What's on your workbench" forum.  I remember now you've already started a PIP thread for this project.

 

My brain keeps slipping off the tracks.

Tracks !! You have tracks in yours ! Mine just wanders and does a lot of reverse to find what got lost.

dados for the shelves have been milled...dry fit ..

Shelves fit, but are a blade width too long, and a bit too wide...

Picking dried glue off of me fingers...

Letting this sit a day.

Out of the clamps, this needed a trim..

After trimmed square, it needed to loose a bit of width..

About that much from each edge....then a rebate was milled..

But first, it needed to be flat, and smooth...we have ways..

As for smooth, well...

Makes things a bit easier...

Tried a few dry fits, adjusted sizes as needed...until.

.

One of the dry fits to see how much the shelves needed to be in width,,

 

Then..the cussing could begin

And..

Bench Vise as a Helping Hand...

Waiting on Glue to cure....there are no metal fasteners used, all glue joints..
