April 21, 20251 yr Popular Post Too busy working on Easter dinner and then the visitors on Easter to do anything else. This week looks like catch up on yard stuff if I can. Should any shop time appear, I'll be working on some display frames for the Famous Women's quarters collection.
April 21, 20251 yr Popular Post Managed to survive the weekend. Today's plans are blowing in the wind.
April 21, 20251 yr Popular Post Had an event Saturday at the AG museum. Lots of people there. Working on the picnic table and hope to get the seats on today. Went to ranch yesterday and finished painting trailer. Put some reflective tape on all corners. Just gotta remember to take pics. Bought some sealer and plan to seal the deck next week if it dries out.
April 21, 20251 yr Popular Post Guests, guests and more guest. However, on my walk, i figured out how John Beaver does the wave bowls with the wave below the surface- at least I think my idea will work. Need to get a couple of chunks of wood to make the right size bowls.
April 21, 20251 yr Popular Post Laid back weekend. Weather was a factor Saturday; Easter services yesterday followed by an Easter donut hunt in the kitchen. Working on some of my domestic duties now since outside work is a no-go today with 40-45 mph winds; plan to run some errands later; Hope to get the mower ready tomorrow and begin mowing before the next wave of rain and storms hit Thursday; we're 2+x above average April precipitation so far; grandsons have another full week of soccer matches and baseball games beginning tomorrow with some evenings both playing at the same time but different locations.

There are dozens of YouTube videos on DIY cross cut sleds from the very simple, like mine, to ones with T-tracks with fancy stop blocks, clamps, built-in rulers, bubble levels, drink holders, etc. The hardest part of mine was getting the front fence perfectly perpendicular to the saw blade. It took me two trys to get it right. Just kidding about the drink holders. 😁
