Sorry for the hit and run topic today folks, we are in San Diego Army MEPS today getting ready to hand off our son to Uncle Sam.

During the week: Waiting to see if/when the tree crew shows up otherwise have a few plants to dig up before/when they do. 

Over the weekend: Pretty much played "Couch Potato" after moving most of the wood from the last time they were here.

Monday?   Tired and sore, was a busy weekend...Shop is closed today

 

Boss has errands to run..and I just happen to be the Driver...

Slowly coming out of the fog of this respiratory crud.

Will replace battery packs in granddaughters laptop while she's home on break; probably today. Need to PU sticks and limbs but the daily 30-40 mph winds make it both impossible and futile. Have other outside work I'd love to get started.

 

Alas, still under Dr. John's @HARO50 care as well personal pharmaceutical consultant's @Gerald oversight. Donut Rx is slowly being administered as needed. I am feeling better though.

 Just finished loading Zorin OS on a W7 era HP laptop. Checking it out now.

@Grandpadave52 Just stay on schedule and you will get there. I passed up the donut shop today , Just no time.

Spent most of the day doing erands and getting supplies to clean up trailer I bought  Yesterday. Photos as I prime it and screw the deck down.  Spent a little time at the ranch Working on lumber rack as one of the cross piece supports broke on a knot. Have to finish that tomorrow.

Felt a growling discomfort in my stomach. Took a dose of donut Rx. Feeling more gooder now.

This happened yesterday, around 2pm at the San Diego MEPS. He's officially on the Army payroll now.

Today our son is at San Diego International trying to get a flight out to Charlotte NC today. He was supposed to take off at 7am, flight got delayed several times, they finally let everyone off the plane just awhile ago, so Army training begins early, hurry up and wait!

Always carry a clipboard with some papers on it.

My quest this week will be to get my boat ready to do some spring fishing spent a good part of this morning vacuuming the leaves out of the it, giving it a GI shower and charging batteries.

Three-peat performance. 

This time with a W10 HP Notebook that couldn't be upgraded to W11 because the CPU didn't meet the W11 hardware requirements, has the TPM 2.0 chip. 

Now loaded with Zorin OS with TPM 2.0 enabled.

 

Actually seems to run faster than it did running W10. 

 

I got the W11 to run on an old Lenovo "Twist" laptop by using the information from this guy-

I'm kind of liking the Zorin OS after playing around with it for a little while.

As slow as W10 was running on this notebook even after doing a full system restore I'm not so sure I'd be happy with it trying to run W11.

I've also noticed some of the Open-Source software has more features available with the Linux version versus the Windows version.

Don't use touch screens, they usually can't see me.

 

Trying to get SWMBO's greenhouse finished. I am waiting on the roof, (12' Clear Plastic), and I still need to build the frames for a door and two windows.
