Thank you for making our newest folks feel welcome. Welcome Mr. Sawdust to Our Fundraiser I'd like to welcome @David Walsh to our annual Christmas fundraiser for our adopted military family. Mr. Walsh has contributed some absolutely wonderful gifts to help us raise funds for our adopted warrior family for Christmas. Please go to our fundraiser announcement and see his wonderful product line, and what's really cool about his contributions, is you get to pick from a wide variety in each category of his contributions, you'll really like what you see! So we'd like to extend a heartfelt big THANK YOU to David, and we look forward to seeing those donations stream in for our warrior family Christmas! Please click on the image below to be taken to the fundraiser Featured topic Not exactly a topic, but a page. Check out our efforts transferring the content of our old wiki to our community here, so everything will be in one tidy place. Below is a page right out of Shelley E. Schoonovers' book "American Woods". Featured image @KevTN took a few things to market in his home town, and I think he did pretty good. Take a look at this market set up too at his topic "A Few Things". Way to go Kev! Featured video This is kind of woodworking related, considering the tail end of the video as they talk about restoring homestead cabins on their land in Montana. But I thought I'd come off the beaten path a bit and share these girls experience baking Sourdough bread in a wood fired oven. I'm ready to run out and get a woodfired oven today! Have fun
December 2, 20241 yr Popular Post Made it through another thanksgiving without any injuries. We sent everyone home with leftovers & that left just enough for our Sunday dinner. The kids will be back the weekend before Christmas & we'll celebrate on the 21st, this way they all can be at their own homes when Santa arrives. Seems like the holidays come & go faster each year.
December 2, 20241 yr Popular Post Today marks one week of being "untethered." It's been a good week. Attended church in person for the first time since September 15th. Great to be back. Afterwards took Daughter, SIL, grandsons and youngest granddaughter out for lunch to celebrate Mrs. upcoming milestone birthday (birthday actually tomorrow). I won't tell you how young she'll be but she is 1 year, 361 days younger than I am. For the record, I had no part in informing the restaurant staff of her birthday but it was fun watching the procession to the table until she realized the Sombrero was for her. I still received the blame. Still waiting on a callback from the cardiologist to schedule a couple procedures and the Urologist in Indy. Hope to venture out tomorrow for some other personal business which may include a stop for a 6 pack (donuts to be clear).
December 2, 20241 yr Popular Post @David Walsh. THANK-YOU for your generous donations of your amazing talents to sponsor our Christmas fundraiser. And Thank-you sir for being such a great example of giving for such a worthwhile mission.

December 2, 20241 yr Popular Post Quiet turkey day here, although the guest showed up with a computer that needed fixing- while you wait. Mimi has started decorating for Christmas. That will last until sometime into early January. I suspect trips to the shop will be non-existent for the foreseeable future.

Some hills to navigate yet. 1 hour ago, DuckSoup said: Good to hear you're better! Thanks Bob. It's been a journey. Still a good ways to go yet.
