October 11, 20241 yr Popular Post My phone says it's Friday again folks! I just plan to enjoy what may be our last 80° day here "Two Weeks From Anywhere" for awhile today. The weekend is forecast for temperatures in the 60's and the early part of next week looks like it will be in the 50's. What's on Your Weekend Agenda?
October 11, 20241 yr Popular Post I’m just trying not to do anything stupid. It’s 7:25 CST. So far so good, but who knows…? Your weather sounds like ours in the Hawkeye State. Enjoy!
October 11, 20241 yr Popular Post My intentions are to head to the gun club and check the sights on a couple of rifles, but that's been on the list the last 3 days and I still haven't got there. Otherwise it's some yard work and maybe a plant stand I need to make.
October 11, 20241 yr Popular Post Might get a wee bit done in the shop...otherwise, I am doing as little as I can get away with, and even less IF they let me... 47 Sunny Degrees at the moment...
October 11, 20241 yr Popular Post Finally got back to the lathe and started my "wave bowl". Thinking about how I can use a different species as the "wave". This was our view of the "Northern Lights" last nite- This is from a friend who lives about 10 miles from here out in the country-
October 11, 20241 yr Popular Post Went to the theater shop this morning and helped a daughter's friend who runs a dance studio build a prototype of a thing for a recital that will have multiple banners on in and rotate around with the kiddos. Tomorrow going to the 'shoe to see a whole day of high school marching bands perform and then followed by TBDBITL do a show and hopefully followed by the 88th anniversary of Script Ohio Edited October 11, 20241 yr by kmealy
October 11, 20241 yr Popular Post Crazy night and busy day. Had some complications arise so had to make an unexpected trip to Urologist this morning. After ~3 hours there, some treatments, and another new Rx back home a bit ago. Things seem to be working OK again for now. Next visit, 10/31 barring any further issues. I was amazed how quickly the leaves have started to change even since the trip Monday. Another weekend of doing mostly nothing; probably will watch some college football games. Oldest granddaughter starts her final NCAA, D3 swim season tomorrow in the Indiana NCAA, D3 Invitational Meet. Tough part, this meet is only 15 miles away and I'm unable to attend. Wow, how fast the past 11 years of competitive swim has gone by beginning her 6th grade year. Hoping the meet will be Livestreamed. Still trying to catch up or at least stay even here. "Attend" church Sunday via livestream. I do have 1/3 of that 6 pack (of donuts) purchased Monday to finish off so there's that.
October 11, 20241 yr Popular Post @Grandpadave52 hold strong my friend. I know how it can be with all the health challenges. “Growing old ain’t for the timid.” Is a favorite quote of mine. I don’t remember where I heard it, but that’s part of my problem too. As for the donuts, you can do this!
October 12, 20241 yr Author Popular Post @Grandpadave52 Take care, but I hate to tell you two donuts just isn't going to make it. "Catch up or stay even" left me in the rear-view mirror a long time ago. I can't even tell which way it went.
October 12, 20241 yr Popular Post Don't get discouraged, @Grandpadave52. At least they didn't send you home with an old plastic gallon jug and a pair of Vice Grips!
October 12, 20241 yr Popular Post Replaced the kitchen faucet this morning. Standard Delta four hole model. Check one item off the honey do list. Picked up a faucet wrench at the store that made the job much easier and faster. https://www.homedepot.com/p/RIDGID-EZ-Change-Plumbing-Wrench-Faucet-Installation-and-Removal-Tool-56988/303528759 The Coronal Mass Ejection (solar storm) played havoc with the radio the last few days. Bands are starting to come back today, still quite a bit of noise. Have some RV chores to do. Getting ready for a trip to Rockport next weekend. Leaving early next Friday. Saltwater fishing, spending time with the family. Son Marcus has a GF the next town over in Corpus Christi. Trying to arrange a visit while we are in S. Texas. .40

One day at a time. Just wearing thin with the extra baggage and the continual challenges it presents. The only up side is I don't have to get up to go to the bathroom during the night. BTW, the 6 pack (donuts) didn't survive the weekend

It was a beautiful day and we enjoyed all 12 hrs of it. I told my wife that smart phones are the VCR Cameras 2.0. I remember back in the '80s that lots of parents would take videos of their kids in various events.
