So Steve, you are one of our founding members here on The Patriot Woodworker, and since we started these Monday topics years ago, I can't remember a Monday you didn't want to go back to bed!

Yesterday was a great day! Both sons came over. One DIL made it. The other one, a flight attendant, had to work. Phyl whipped up a wonderful breakfast. Home made doughnuts, cinnamon rolls, sausages, scrambled eggs, and orange Julius'.

It's back to work on the scroll saw for me, today. Might get some time to fiddle with the laser.

_ _ _ day

I could have sworn it was just another _ _ _ day. <_<

Might try to move that trailer chassis today, depends upon how hungry those :ArguingSmileys: mosquitos are today. :Tapping:

After gathering all of the L&G equipment into one area 8' wide I'll need to go a minimum of 10' in length to fit it all in.

I decided to go 12' long for the shed section and only make the greenhouse portion 3' X 8' which will be plenty for our needs.

Second cataract surgery this week, then another week of limited duty.  But it's worth it!

Meanwhile the shop projects are waiting patiently.

After 2.75" of rain last week, mowing will be a priority this week likely commencing tomorrow. Other outside yard, garden and maintenance work in the offing. Still working on L&G equipment for myself and also SIL/daughter. Woodchipper almost completed. Need a trip to H-F (go H-F:P) for a pair of 10" tire and wheels to replace the dry rotted tires and cheap plastic compostie wheels Sears/MTD thought was a novel idea.

Middle school (8th grade) football season begins with first game Wednesday evening. Youngest grandson's soccer travel team season started yesterday with a win 7-3; Several matches will be in the Indy area.

Haven't received "general orders" yet so immediate activation, mobilization and deployment may be looming. "Donut" rations will have to be air dropped.

Somewhat busy weekend.  Half of the window sash lites are painted and ready for install.  The glass lites got messed up so I redid them on Sunday.  Two pieces of this puzzle are awaiting needed inserts, a playbill and a cast pic.  Unclear when those two items will be in my hand, if not by the end of the month it will be Oct. 6th before I am back.  Oct. 6th afternoon show will be the last performance with the cast party following and (hopefully) the gift ready...  I've done what I can do, this is up to them now to get what we need to complete the project.

Yesterday I had a steroid shot in the lower back, spent the rest of the day running a few errands and getting a haircut.  This morning I got up and walked to the kitchen - upright and pain free in the lower back...  I've got about a week and a half to get back in shape!

No fun working with back pain @Cal. I'm getting another steroid shot today. For me they have lasted for about 3 months and it's time for another shot.

Hope you are doing well today Al.  My last shot was in December and it had been a couple years before that one.  I had been doing fine until that tank of propane :ChinScratch:  I reckon I just twisted while lifting or something.  Do you find it hard to sleep that first night following the shot?  I didn't get much on Monday night, and if I recall it was like that after the other shot too...

The young men with stronger backs showed up yesterday and removed all the sod and mixed in a layer of mushroom soil. Today I'll play laborer to Patti, she'll spot the plants we have, and I'll dig.

Just recalled an old radio dj, Big Al Night signature phrase, "if you live on a farm you got to dig it".

No problem sleeping last night @Cal. A lot of pain relief this morning.
