Friday again

Garbage going out a day late has my schedule messed up. :WonderScratch:

Today I'm playing the "Never Ready Bunnie" after running a couple tanks of gas through the string mower yesterday.

Not sure what I'll get done if anything this weekend , I'm moving rather slow today. :OldManSmiley:

Other than rain tomorrow morning it's supposed to be a pretty decent weekend.

With all of the rain we've had so far we're now at the second wettest spring on record with more coming.

The 1st of each month at one PM, several friends and neighbors (FANs) meet at a local bar and grill. This meeting will be sad one. The gentleman who organized this get together passed away earlier this week.:(

We'll hoist a few in his honor tomorrow.

Made a lot of headway on the weed problem in the yard yesterday, to be continued today and maybe tomorrow morning. Late tomorrow rain moves in so I may be piddling in the shop a little. Also having 2 trees cut down today, not sure what kind of mess I'll have after that's done.

Looks like a weekend of yard work.  I've a couple of dead shrubs to take down and a bit more pruning to get done before the hot weather sets in.

Brothers and sisters coming over for a picnic.  Weather looks like it is going to cooperate.

:ChinScratch: And the morning after. Don't turn around, where you started is ready again. DAMHIKT :BangingHead:

 Haven't managed to get the weeds that grew up around/through the couple or so trees that came down awhile back so I can see to cut the trees up.

Been a busy week. Got the raised bed garden beds assembled, filled, planted; Found and hired a local guy to till up our garden area yesterday. We haven't had an actual garden for a few years. Mrs. decided "we" needed one this year. Corn, beans, peas and other stuff TBD gets planted this evening before Monsoon Season v3 begins.

Also, trimmed some trees, bushes, weedeating and other outdoor cleanup projects have been going on.

Started on the yard yesterday. After a two hour delay to replace a bent pushrod (cause unknown), mowed until about dark. Phase II begins shortly.

Saturday, TBD on (a) weather (b) whether I've got any go left after this week.

Sunday AM church services and responsibilities. Sunday afternoon, move a bunch of stuff to retrieve cornhole boards and try to remember where I stored the bags. Need those for June Family Fun Night & Cookout Sunday PM at church.

I got a call from my DIL, my grandson had a class trip to Old Sturbridge Village (a representation town of 1830). I had a lot on my plate this week but that's what composting and dishwashers are good for.

Well the agenda was hijacked fairly early this weekend and substituted with the wife’s agenda….

So we visited people in hospitals, hung bistro lights, went shopping, did some gardening, had dinner with the, and hunted horn worms on the tomato plants by blacklight.

Finally got some time tonight to go play in the shop and managed to get a few of my smaller chisels sharpened back up to snuff.
The new chisel test is the end grain of a particularly annoying piece of hard maple.  If it can cut that clean it is good to go :)

The monthly FAN club meet up at the local B&G was bittersweet. A lot of reminiscing about the gentleman who passed recently. He was quite a guy. He kept us in stitches with his tales.

There was about 15 or so of us local denizens in attendance. Many of whom I'd never met except online. It was great to put a face to them.

Been using up some of my stash of 1/2" BB making storage boxes using the quarter quarter quarter system. Lots of sawdust to be swept up. Then, I get to play with the laser. A fun Sunday in the desert.

Yep. A hassle but it's working.
