What lathe are you turning on? Mine is a Powermatic 3520b that I inherited from my father.

"Great topic 74! Looks like everyone enjoyed sharing their lathe, or in Dan's case, LATHE's!"

I have a Craftsman lathe that I replaced the spindle and drive in.  The original was lacking rigidity.

I have a Delta 46-460 that I love and use most

And a Rockwell 46-111

Shopsmith Mark V - 510.

Apparently, I have never taken a picture of my machine. Used the bejeebers out of it but, never preserved its image for posterity.

Got LOTS of pics of the stuff I've turned on it though! (If anybody is really bored out of their mind and wants to look.):P

Mine looks like the one above or at least exactly like the box where mine resides. Picked it up at a flea market a good while back. Too good of a deal not to purchase it. No real place to permanently mount it so it remains safe from my hands. Like me, it now is considered "vintage."

There is a video on YouTube with one made from a skillsaw.

Haven't turned much lately, but this 1952 model serves me well.

Hey John, what's the max working length between centers?
