Are you and Marie OK @Fred W. Hargis Jr. Just saw a YouTube Storm chaser video of a major tornado in/near Wapakoneta? Report back if you can.

I'd post the video, but language was inappropriate. Posting here for visibility.

Fred is usually on in the morning, perhaps he will chime in here soon.  Or maybe his power/internet connection is off...

Sure hope he made it through without damage.

Fred left his map marker at our Members Map, perhaps someone can dial in the exact path of that tornado and compare it to Fred's location?

Texting back and forth with @Ron Dudelstonthis AM. Ron sent both a text and tried calling Fred. No response to either. Hopefully it's just a power, phone, cell tower outage issue. It was hard to tell from the video, but one part showed the tornado from a I-75 over pass. Fred lives pretty close to that general area IIRC. A very scary looking, huge tornado.

Praying for Fred and family, they have to be fine I know it. :)

Looking at a couple maps, Fred and Marie were very close if not in it.

This article states the Tornado's heart was at Pusheta and Wapak-Freyburg Roads. Fred and Marie live just east of that intersection. There is no doubt their internet and communication had to of been affected.

I am assuming by looking at the road layout of that area most the roads fall on section lines, a section is a mile by a mile square, so they are about a mile and three quarters from the heart of the storm.

Praying very hard right now, Father please let Fred and Marie be safe.

EDIT: They were half a mile from the heart of the storm.

Way too close for comfort! Praying for them, and everyone in the area.

Same storm hit the Indian Lake area last night....as of right now, 3 known dead.   Indian Lake are is about 14 miles to the north of me....and has a LOT of campgrounds and Trailer Parks.....

Was a LONG and very NOISY Night...lights did flicker here in Bellefontaine, OH.    LOTS of rain.     Was looking out the back screen door, watching the "light show"  with a breeze blowing IN through the screen....then for a minute or 3 breeze was blowing OUT the screen....then back to in.   Something had just gone by, overhead?

Wapak Tornado has been labeled an EF-1     What hit Indian Lake area was an EF-3 and it was 1/2 a mile WIDE..

1974 Xenia Tornado was on April 4th....

Winchester, IN.....was also an EF-3, last night...and there was another EF-1 in Darke/Mercer counties...

All of this was just 2 weeks after the one in Clark County  (EF-2).....

Going to be a bad year....

National Weather Service said that the Winchester tornado was at the upper limit of an EF3 with winds of 165 mph.  It was on the ground for 25 miles and was 700 yards wide
