Goal being to keep the long sides from bowing in when the clamps are done..let this sit overnight..:KooKooClock:

FEBBOXProjectGluedup.JPG.56d426f61beba4d06ffeb4ac56e6ee36.JPG

Then, today, these clamps came off, all 4 sides and the top and bottom of the box were planed and sanded clean, and square..

Next, a 1/4" plywood panel was cut to size, glue was spread around...making sure it was the bottom edge of the box..:WonderScratch:

FEBBOXProjectlidisnext.JPG.85a8218e1bcd4977f46e5c75ba768499.JPG

Will add strips around on the underside of the lid...more wood for the hinges and latch to grab onto..:ChinScratch:

And maybe add these,,

FEBBOXProjectfancycorners.JPG.7c220db2a2560763e1abc242379dd02f.JPG

FWIW, My vote is on the inside of the lid.

+ 1 for inside

That's a pretty fancy February box Steven!  Brand it on the inside, and something on the outside to identify the contents...

@Pauley recently posted up a completed project where he used a burn paste to create a really nice tray (I think it was).
