HandyDan Posted January 14, 2024 Report Posted January 14, 2024 Ran across this at a local on line auction. I don't have the item just their pictures. I enlarged the picture in two parts. HARO50, Cal and steven newman 3 Quote

Popular Post Grandpadave52 Posted January 14, 2024 Popular Post Report Posted January 14, 2024 Maybe some type of load or lifting device? Looking at the attached tag reminds me of our certification tags for lifting devices; e.g Max 1000lb capacity; possible a device tracking/tag number?; I think I make out term MIL STD perhaps meeting a Military/DOD specification. Looks like it has an enclosed gearbox operating the jaw via 1/2" or 3/4" square drive. The facilities where I worked made numerous lifting devices and tooling specific to our product lines. ID tag was for tracking purposes in the tooling system as well documenting when/where used in the operations written work instructions. So with all I've just rambled on about, I have absolutely no clue how this might be used. HandyDan, Cal, Larry Buskirk and 2 others 3 2 Quote
Gerald Posted January 15, 2024 Report Posted January 15, 2024 Only extra word I can make out is clamp. I think maybe attached to a press to crimp cable. steven newman, Grandpadave52 and Cal 3 Quote
