@Larry Buskirk may have an idea. Probably need to find a used lathe for sale and salvage the part.

 Not a model I'm familiar with, but I did a few quick searches and found quite a few parts (Spindle included) listed as NLA. 

It may be possible to locate a donor from another lathe that the electronic control (Also NLA) failed on. (Saw quite a few inquiries searching for the electronics) 

 

 Think I'll hang onto my  machines, they're easier to find parts for.

First, welcome to The Patriot Woodworker Richard. Great to have you on-board.

 

You likely already have but if not, have you tried contacting Delta HERE. I know it's a longshot but maybe they have access to a database where a service center or dealer still has some NOS. A couple years back I needed a switch for my B&D Professional Model Screw Gun. Contacted the local Service Center in Indy; they didn't have one, but had a listing of dealers who did; Gave me the contact information; 10 days later, I had two in my mailbox (bought a spare).

 

 

Delta parts hard to find . Try ereplacements. Welcome to the forum.

Looking pretty scarce.  A machine shop may be able to repair yours or even make a new one.

yep it is .. have to keep looking 

Try Renovo Parts.  They helped me with a hard-to-find part for my Delta jointer.

Not familiar with the model, but can you identify it's twins - say a Grizzly or Jet model or some such.  A new spindle may not be available through them either but it would allow you to broaden your search on a used one.
