Friday September 29th 2023-Whats on Your Weekend Agenda?

Friday Folks! :D

Spent most of the week trying to work around the rain we got here "Two Weeks from Anywhere". <_<

That :ArguingSmileys: Astro van couldn't resist tormenting me two more times after we got it running. :PullingHair:

Ended up having to replace the EGR Valve, and MAP Sensor as well. That's just about everything in the 5 Volt line of the Fuel System.

So it would appear that whoever had tried working on it crossed a 12 Volt supply line with the 5 Volt circuits in the VCM/Fuel supply sensors when they worked on it.

At least now it will display DTC's when it wouldn't before making diagnostics much easier than digging through the schematics and manually diagnosing the problems.

Drove it around for about 3 hours yesterday and so far no more DTC's. ;)

Will be helping Bruce get the roof rack done today. Fall "Curb Shopping" starts Sunday!

Still waiting for the Hollow End Mill so I can get that broken bolt out of the Pilot so I can install the new Neutral Safety/Range Position switch. :Tapping:

Not sure but might be able to get back to projects, weather and vehicles permitting.

We'll have to wait and see what happens, What's on Your weekend Agenda?

Passed FCC radio operator exam last night.  Will be setting up my HAM shack soon.  This milestone in my life will be taking my weekends for a while.  Antenna mast install etc.

Will be using this radio.

Finally clear of The Covid bug and beginning to feel human again. Haircut on tap later this AM, then numerous errands.

Between the rain, heavy dews and fog this week, grass mowing will resume. It's been 3 weeks plus.

Church responsibilities Sunday.

I built this table for my wife a few months ago . As a result  I was informed earlier this week that i was going to make a second one "exactly the same" but shorter for the entry foyer. Happy wife = more work for me and meals I don't have to cook, laundry I don't have to wash and I get to make more saw dust.

I am trying hard to find a down side

Want to spend more time outside now that the weather has cooled off.  Won't be long before the cold will coup us up.  Burning the brush pile should be fun.

Been making toy patterns from 1/2" BB.. They're actually router templates. Got to use the scroll saw quite a bit. Even so, sanding the edges baby butt smooth is necessary.  There's enough cut now (24) to start sanding. When these are done, I'll cut some more. Probably at least 20 more.

Both sons and spouses will be here tomorrow so no shop time.

Congrats!  Something I considered in the early days of "CB" but other hobbies seemed more important. Just remember, if your antenna doesn't blow down this winter, it wasn't big enough :D

I am sure I have a grandkid soccer game...but I was taking a break today and found out on of the places I get some of my wood is changing hands (for the better) but the new owners are not buying any of the current inventory or what is left of it. Well I got some good maple white and red oak and a rough looking heart pine for 20. It is cash only so after my 2pm meeting I'm going to grab some green stuff and go back down and see what is left. Days like this I REALLY miss my truck

Saturday is the last build day in the shop for Finding Nemo, Jr.  Loading the truck in the afternoon.  Move in Sunday.  Two pieces of "flying wall" 20' wide need built on site.  8'x14' walls on rolling platforms need assembled on site, too.   Next week is "tech week" where every evening from 5 to 9 or 10 is doing on-site set stuff, rehearsals, fixing stuff, etc.  4 shows next weekend.

Just sitting here waiting for the Covid to release me. Had a show scheduled for tomorrow so got a friend to do it as well as he took some of my stuff to sell. Doing better today but still problems with dizziness.  Took a nap about lunch and for some reason felt much better after that,

Great news on the eye. How's the leg doing? Assume still healing with the weight restriction?

Cool drill press. Very unique dual bevel and straight cut drive gear. Any name, patent dates or other identifying marks cast in?

Haven't even got it out of the trunk of the car....Son & GrandBRAT can do that in the Morning.....Can't use the tablesaw for another month...might as well have them set this thing up on it...to where I can work on it.....Might take a few cans of PB Blaster?

Then find a spot in the shop to set it up for work...

What follows is not a complaint and I am lucky to still be here.............. I had that covid  crap 3 years ago this coming January. I was out and down bed ridden for 7 weeks. My wife thought I was leaving the planet.

I tell this story not to garner any sympathy but to chronicle there are  lingering after effects.  Mine continue to this day and are  very much the same as many others.

About your dizziness

I am no spring chicken but after that little bump in the road for weeks after it felt like I was split in two kind of just out of phase with myself. It was way different than being intoxicated I was fully functional physically but in an different  phase this is possibly what you call dizziness . The best way I can describe it for folks that lived through the 50's & 60's is the 3D glasses we got at the movies you know one red and one blue lens. Without those glasses on we saw on the screen  a two color fuzzy image slightly out of phase.......that was me . I felt like I was beside myself and not sure which one was the real me. That slowly dissipated over about 2 months.

Today fatigue is a real issue I never napped before but I can zone out for a 3 hour nap nearly every day just by sitting down and not moving for a few minutes.

Really pissssssssssssssssssssssss me off. Lastly I am the unwanted owner of a very dry cough that just happens whenever it darn well pleases . The medical heads say "covid aftermath" not much that they know what to do about it .

Please get well soon and hopefully you dizziness will clear up in short time .
