I like those.  I have thought of doing square bowls but haven't yet.

All 3 are great but that Purpleheart one is gorgeous IMHO. Thanks for sharing.

Thank you! :)

All are beautifully done. I built a couple of bandsaw boxes using Purpleheart. Love that wood but it really hard.  Great job on all of them.

Only suggestion is to watch your knuckles, they are notorious for whacking them time-to-time  :)

Maple bowl finished with Danish Oil.

This is the first time I went so thin on the rim of the bowl.

I am usually worried about it going too thin and cracking.

Thought I would give it a go.   :)

Fantastic! What tool did you use to make the embellishments on the outside?

Ron Brown's texturizing tools.

I have four different sizes and number of teeth on the rollers.

Nice touch with the texture. As a suggestion I like to cut a line with point tool on both sides of texture and then burn that line in . It just sets the texture off even more. You are really coming along with improving your work.:)

Great suggestion, I had been tempted a few times to buy a set of burning wires.

I have seen ways to use what I have in the shop already as a cheap alternative.  I will definitely give that a shot.

And thank you! :)

Go to the local music store and get some discarded music string- banjo, guitar, etc. Different diameters for various burning widths.

To echo Lew yes Guitar strings. You can cut one in two and have one and a spare. Don't forget to turn some handles for them . Drill a small hole , large enough for two wires. Put the wire thru hole and wrap around to go into the same hole again and pull it tight. It will not come out. Eventually burners do break. Gonna have to make a picture of that.

Working a piece of Dark Walnut.  Just playing around with new shapes.  Finished it with some Teak Oil.
