Other than a $3 bucket of tools, there was a lot to be found at the Garage Sales

Next weekend is Labor Day Weekend.   West Liberty OH has their Tractor Fest.   I have Eye surgery that Friday morning..MIGHT be able to stroll around at the Fest on Saturday afternoon?

Boss has errands to run ...either today, or Tomorrow...or both..she hasn't said...YET.

Mare is scheduled for here back surgery Friday, if we ever get there. Last week one of the pre op checks was an EKG. Hers had something on it the family doctor didn't like, so then he ordered another one along with an electrocardiogram.  He still saw somthing he didn't like, so last Friday we wound up at a cardiologists office and he ordered a stress test. That will be Wednesday, then Thursday we see the surgeon. This is turning into one of the famous cluster thingy s. The whole thing has my schedule on a TBD thing, almost by the hour.

@Fred W. Hargis Jr, hoping for the best for Marie. Phyl went through a similar set of tests for a heart murmur last month. It turned out it was for the best. Those tests likely saved her from a bad heart attack.

Got that golf thing finished for my sister. Starting on a sign for my other sister. It'll say "My Kitchen...My Rules". She loves to cook and won't allow any interference with her process.

We had a bit of excitement yesterday. The man gate was left open and a female Javalina wandered in. They are unpleasantly stupid. We opened both driveway gates and used the zero turn mower to try to herd her out. We chased that beast all over our back acre for probably an hour before she found one of the open gates. The last we saw of her, she was trotting down the road, headed south towards the open desert. Good riddance!

Our son lives in a development in the foothills and has no fences. Herds of Javalina and, often a bobcat or two will wander across their property. Can be a treat to see them as we know they can easily find their way away from humans.

  Appears we both had that problem, but I just did a little "Attic Shopping" (Storage from "Curb Shopping") and came back with about a half sheet of 1/4" Oak veneer plywood and have to go back and sort through a couple of stacks of table extension leaves. Hopefully there's a couple of 3/4" thick Oak ones.

:ChinScratch: Have to remember to get some AA batteries for the camera.  <_< Don't know where all of those AA and AAA batteries disappear to. :WonderScratch:

Had to look that up! Looks similar to a wild boar. One of our members @Big B hunts the wild boars.

Quiet weekend here.

Busy weekend. Saturday morning, Mrs. & I cooked breakfast outside for the brood before youngest granddaughter headed back to campus. Pancakes, sausage, bacon, eggs, coffee and juices...no donuts though. Beautiful morning too plus great, relaxed time. After everyone left, wife and I cleaned up dishes, then sat in the yard swing for an hour or so watching the birds come to the feeders and bird baths. Mid afternoon, she crafted and I got over 1/2 of the yard mowed. Yesterday after church, grabbed a quick lunch, couple of errands, then we basked in the quiet solitude. Ended the day doing a few tasks.

Today, finish the mowing is the main goal; getting motivated with the beautiful day is the challenge. Remainder of the week, hope to accomplish lots of outside work with the much cooler weather forecast. Oldest grandson has his first 7th grade football game across county Wednesday evening; rumor is he'll also get some playing time in the 8th grade game following too.

Here's to y'all having a safe week, hopefully cooler weather and being far more productive than I likely will be.

Got finish on a couple bowls and epoxy on two more. No rain and the last (I hope) of the 100 plus yesterday. Maybe progress on making biscuit cutters today. Watered the roses and azaleas this morning and that cooler temp sure is nice.

I remembered batteries.

The "Pile of Oak" grows, even the extension slides are Oak. :D

That stack of boards are cut to length from 1 x 6 tongue and groove. I'll be saving the groove when I rip them to width.

:ChinScratch: Now if I could just remember what it was I was building. :Tapping:

Was it part of your Frankenputer? Or the trailer workshop?

 It's one of those evolving plans/projects that is subject to change depending upon what I manage to scrounge together for materials without having to spend any more than SWMBO will allow. :Praise: DAMHIKT <_<

:ChinScratch: I will say It also involves getting the plans approved by "Nipper" who was appointed "The Supervisor" by my neighbor Bruce.

:ChinScratch: "The Supervisor" called and said "His Master's Voice" told him to approve the plan. ;)

Michael, what is schluder?  My dictionary doesn't have it...

My weekend was productive.  Applied finish to a cabinet add-on for the garage, and more importantly, settled on a plan for the last cabinet.  This will be a shallow display cabinet.  I sort of waffled back and to over the last week on dimensions and style.  Settling on both I got the carcass cut out and many holes drilled.  Maybe I can get it sanded down and apply a finish to the inside surfaces today.  I'll likely be working on this project for the next couple of weeks (at least)...

Got one eye keeping tabs on Hurricane Idalia in the gulf.  I don't expect much of it in this area but we could sure use some rain.  A couple degrees shift in the track could mean the difference to us between sprinkles or a soaker.  Shoot, I would be happy with anything in between right now.  That will be sometime tomorrow.
