August 21, 20232 yr Popular Post I didn't get much done over the weekend. Going full bore today and the rest of the week though. 100 errands to run today to include picking up a sheet or two of plywood for additional cabinets/shelving in the garage. In between all other tasks, errands and chores I hope to make a bit of sawdust towards the new goal of garage additions. I also want to get a few new signs made up and have a bunch of mirror projects getting stacked up...
August 21, 20232 yr Popular Post Monday already? I wasn't finished with Sunday yet. Still working on that scroll saw project for my sister. Yeah, a snail is faster. Probably more coordinated, too. Scrolling is fun. I think my next project will combine box making and Scrolling. I'm itching to get back to the TS and the BS. Maybe a box with scrolled lid. So many ideas. So little time.
August 21, 20232 yr Popular Post Monday WHO authorized that! Bruce just called, looks like we're making a "Boneyard" run before it gets too . Edited August 21, 20232 yr by Larry Buskirk
August 21, 20232 yr Popular Post I'm be trying to mow today, and somewhere in here I need to dig my post hole auger out where I screwed it into the ground (again) . This week will be so hot and humid there's likely not a lot that will get done outside.
August 21, 20232 yr Popular Post Monday? Monday? Leave it at that.. I did get that Pine Box finished up....Hedges trimmed...not much else... Labor Day Weekend: Unless you are going to Lions Park for just the Country Music Concert...admission is free....the concert is not. There will also be the Tractor Fest, and the mile or 2 of walking through all those vendors.. This is where I do a LOT of Rust Hunting..... Eye surgery is scheduled for early Friday morning, Sept 1st....but...will still be able to walk around Rust Hunting the rest of that weekend..
August 21, 20232 yr Popular Post Got a small fallen tree cut up Saturday. Stay in yesterday to avoid bad air quality. Good excuse to get in the shop and work on the mice ornaments.
August 21, 20232 yr Popular Post Lots of errands to do today. Already 85° probably wait till later to do my walking routine.
August 21, 20232 yr Popular Post Got the finish work done on Fire Stix and Seam Rippers. Had a great woodturners meeting. Out early this morning and the last of the limbs I trimmed in cans at curb for pickup. Edited August 21, 20232 yr by Gerald

August 21, 20232 yr Popular Post Spent Friday getting the "big mower" going again; new battery including mods to hold downs to allow for slightly larger battery, all new and re-rerouted fuel lines and filter, oil/filter change, deck clean, grease, etc. Mowed 5+ hours Saturday, worked flawlessly; waited until later so it was a bit cooler yesterday to finish; mowed 90+ minutes w/o a stumble then back to similar issues. Nursed it back to garage, got it to hi/lo idle again, noticed fuel line was slightly resting on one of the hydraulic lines, zipped tied it up, finished mowing (about 45 minutes) ran perfectly. Sun was nearly down though. I suspect it is vapor-locking; trick is isolating 100% where it's occurring. Took two years to finally isolated on its smaller brother. Speaking of little brother, going to try replacing push rods on it next. Need to remove the old ones first, then mic the lengths. Have a "parts mule" as a possible donor? Oldest granddaughter home through tomorrow night. Final preps for youngest granddaughters return to campus Saturday. Haircut week Wednesday, lunch with my brother, then some errands while up in Boilertown. Plenty else in the queue but extreme heat advisories in place for the week will likely put the kibosh to most if not all. Keep cool and hydrated y'all. Edited August 21, 20232 yr by Grandpadave52

Know a`couple of Gorillas and a small boy? Outside nor inside.

August 22, 20232 yr Will be going over shortly to finish up replacing the fuel distributor/fuel injector assembly on Bruce's 1999 Astro Van. Sure am glad I decided to pull the one off of that Blazer at the "Boneyard" made it a lot easier to find the bolts when pulling it off of the Astro using the "Brail System" of finding them. Not a whole lot of room in the Astro's engine compartment.

Had lens implants done at the time. She opted for one eye for distance and the other for close up. Since I require tri focals, they just did mine both the same. Maybe today, they can accommodate for that. At any rate, you'll love the results.
