May 25, 20233 yr Well, I made one like this from some wood in the scrap bin last year. Saved myself $130 + tax and shipping My old one was much cruder -- a piece of plywood and two pieces of 1x4 that just ran along the rip fence, but it was getting pretty chewed up. Actually, I made two, one for the table saw and one for the router table. Might have taken 30 minutes each, or less. https://www.woodpeck.com/spline-jig-pw.html?wpk=PW-SPLINE-23&utm_medium=email&_hsmi=258381526&_hsenc=p2ANqtz-9tjNgQkc4Ev_bTLt7AUbM2LRIc_ipmlnDwwOrOt7IKjJVzWjsfMKvwzn8LvGfu8YrSCFsBEohPT5aM-EBCAbrLiYpCupHekcZ0bnRvpV3tpUhzhO4&utm_content=258381526&utm_source=hs_email Edited May 25, 20233 yr by kmealy
May 25, 20233 yr But I'll bet yours doesn't look nearly as sexy as the Woodpecker's version..... I mean, that counts for something doesn't it?

IIRC, you were turning some 90-100 hours a few months back. I see you've been slacking off lately All that time answering my texts perhaps? That's what happens when you know retired old pharts who dont use watches any more.

May 26, 20233 yr Over 50 years ago, my watch came off, never to be replaced. Clocks in the house, a clock in the shop, clocks in the vehicles and, when I had a job, clocks all over the work place. Now that I'm retired, I don't give crap what time it is.
May 26, 20233 yr I've worn a watch all my life and now i feel naked without one. It's the different strokes thing, I guess.
May 26, 20233 yr Something in my body ate the brass bodies of a watch. The edges would get sharp as a razor. The backs were stainless and stayed good. Quit wearing one in my 20s but did carry a pocket watch. Phone is most always with me now and serves well as a watch.

May 27, 20233 yr Phyl quit wearing a watch the day she retired in '07. Took it off, threw it in a drawer and hasn't touched it since. Won't wear a bracelet neither. Wrist watches are sorta like shackles that symbolize our slave status.
