April 7, 20233 yr Popular Post Friday again! Here "Two Weeks From Anywhere" it's the beginning of "Spring Curb Shopping Season". Still have a bit of work to do on a couple of Bruces vans, and have to rewire a landscapers trailer he picked up. Somehow whoever wired the trailer got the electric brakes tied into one of the brake/turn signal lights. Of course they must have used at least three rolls of electrical tape to cover the mass/mess of wiring. Looks like one of those messes where you'd be better off cutting the mess out and starting over. Might get started on that today, weather permitting. That's what's going on around here, What's on Your Weekend Agenda?
April 7, 20233 yr Popular Post Will be at Daughter's place, Sunday.... Might try to build a Spoon Tray? Might be...interesting... When everything is at an angle... Should keep me busy...
April 7, 20233 yr Popular Post Had a package as a no show from Wally's and dreaded calling customer service. Dialed the phone and swear it was answered in heaven. A pleasant young lady answered the phone and in her easily understandable voice handled the problem and left me a $10.00 coupon in my and email. Sometimes I still think I dreamed this. Got out in the yard this week and cleaned up the debris from winter and the two storms we just had. So many dead branches blew out of the trees it may be a couple years before is see another one down Wishful thinking I know but the trees did get a good shaking. Did spend a little time in the shop and made some of these.

April 7, 20233 yr Popular Post Got the downdraft tables done yesterday for routing the edge and corners of table tops for the furniture bank. Initial trial seemed successful.
April 7, 20233 yr Popular Post Some errands this afternoon. Youngest grandson begins Spring soccer matches tomorrow morning. Should be interesting. His team had their first practice yesterday. Hope to get some outside work done tomorrow afternoon. Easter Sunday will be different this year. All grandkids will be at their fathers. Easter sunrise services, churchwide breakfast, Sunday school, followed by Easter services at church. Blessings to you all on this Good Friday through Easter Sunday.
April 7, 20233 yr Popular Post have to pack the truck for tomorrow's pistol match, i'm running it, oh joy. quiet weekend expected otherwise, just me now, so nothing fancy planned meal wise. the more mess i make, the more i have to clean it up. no invites to anyone's place, and that's fine. had my sister visit for Christmas, but no one for Resurrection Day.

April 7, 20233 yr Yeah, I ran some boards thru the planer Wednesday. It was empty when I started. I think it will be full again by next week already.
April 9, 20233 yr Author Went with Bruce yesterday morning and on the way back had to stop at traffic light. When the light turned green the 2000 Express van said I'm done, no forward. Towed back with tow-bar after Jim finally showed up with the 2005 and the tow-bar. While waiting for Jim Mark called asking if I could help him with front brakes on his 2004 Ram PU. He'd had them done about a month ago (by someone else) and wore out a set of pads, and tore up the rotor on the drivers side front. So, after getting back went and gave him a hand, needed both front calipers, rotor, and drivers side hose. Ended up being a long day.
April 9, 20233 yr Popular Post I have received stern orders that "no shop time shall happen during the month of April". in order to accomplish this my wife and friends forcefully dragged me 2,000 miles away, are holding me captive at a house in western AZ, and are keeping me drugged with mass-quantities of fermented and distilled fruits and grains. I shall be back working in early May. Edited April 9, 20233 yr by John Hechel
