Friday again folks. :CowboyPistol:

Not much going on here "Two Weeks From Anywhere".

Mother Nature decided to give us :BlackCloud:today, with a chance of snow for April Fools Day.

Not sure what if anything I'll get done other than a wade across the yard. :WonderScratch:

:ChinScratch: So, What's on Your Weekend Agenda?

April Fools Day - I had forgotten about that...

The upper garage that I have been working on - drywall work got done last weekend and then rains moved in.  When the weather cleared I was able to prime the ceiling and yesterday roll a texture on.  Supposed to be nice today and I will let it dry for today also.  Rain come in tomorrow, supposed to be nice Sunday so I might be able to paint said ceiling then.  I milled some 2x4's down yesterday and will be spending today making up some crown moulding.  And building drawers, I am in the middle of building drawers.  And at some point get the walls primed and painted.

I've got things to do...

Headed out in a few to PU moving truck to begin daughter & SIL move. I'm mainly the driver and load coordinator. SIL has lined up work buddies from Sheriff's dept to help with big stuff. Weather will be a factor to contend with especially high winds.

Got a lot of initial cleaning done yesterday and all the garage stuff moved after they closed on the house.

Tomorrow will finish the move as needed. Palm Sunday church responsibilities. Hoping a nap will be in order Sunday afternoon.

I will actually be in the shop a little later finishing up some tissue boxes I started some time back. then it may be time for my annual sharpening treatment. I'll go through those hand tools with an edge and sharpen those that need it. Some of them (like card scrapers) get sharpemed more than annually, but most of tem last the entire year and still do good. (please note, this doesn't include my meager collection of lathe tools, they get sharpened in use)

Clean up and organizing for most of today. Then make another mess. Just sawdust, though, Prepping some walnut and oak scraps for scroll work.

Sticking around the house as usual.  Probably be in the shop playing with something.

Took my new pruning saw out to the fallen tree in my side yard yesterday.  Was able to cut through the top 4" to 6" thick 10ft or so of the trunk, but had to give up when what was left was the 12" and larger thick section of the tree.  Ordered an Ego brand (same as my lawn mower and snow blower) battery powered 18" chain saw which should be here this weekend to see if I can use it to finish off cutting the tree into movable segments.

Still need to mess with my Taig CNC mill before using it again.  Also ordered a magnetic dial indicator fixture which I hope I can use to measure the backlash with.

had a friend stop by yesterday for some coffee, some chat, and a shop tour.  enter shop, "oooooohhhhh.....we need to talk"

also showed her things i had made around the house, "ooooohhhhh"

i think she has some ideas in mind, so we'll likely be shopping for lumber and drawing sketches and making sawdust down the road.  you buy the lumber, i'll supply the smarts and tools.

very nice lady i met at church.

As of 8P last night daughter, SIL, 2 grandsons, almost all of their possessions and their cats were moved. Lot of really good help to make it happen. We made it home just ahead of severe weather that rolled in. Today they begin the task of moving in.

Went back this AM to PU U-Haul truck for return. Fun treat returning empty 26' truck in 50mph wind gusts. V10 F750's like their fuel. Still wasn't as scary as looking at all the boxes and stuff to be sorted and put away in the house😱🙈🙊

Today will be an early B-day celebration. Sons and families in attendance. The actual day is Monday but, everybody else has to work. I just might imbibe in a small glass of single malt. TBD

Well this morning was fun….

I built a garden enclosure because some little critter or another keeps eating the wife’s garden.
Phase 1 is complete - Framing

Phase 2 is in progress - painting.  The wife is doing this because she has seen me paint and has decided to protect the neighborhood.
Phase 3 will be installing hardware cloth once the paint dries.
